mr. scott. could you share how you raised the voltage on your socket a processor? Ive been searching the web, my a7n8x-vm doesnt have the option in the bios, i must resort to pin mod.

At this point I dont know if its my cpu or motherboard holding me back. anything over 178mhz fsb or 2517mhz cpu speed. maybe more voltage or maybe its fsb... i read the 166fsb xp 3200+ chips didnt support higher fsb speeds?

Installed the voltage modifications ... let's see how high this card goes on air cooling :-)

GPU

325MHz - stock (1.77V?)

330MHz - 1.8V

345MHz - 1.9V

355MHz - 2.03V

360MHz - Black screen at any voltage

=> 357MHz at 2.05V; GPU ~ 35°C load

It seems that I'm hitting a wall at around 360MHz I can increase the voltage over 2.1V, but it doesn't help me get it more stable.

MEM

566MHz - stock (3.45V?)

600MHz - 3.55V

610MHz - 3.66V (with artifacts)

615MHz - 3.6V (heavy artifacts)

=> 620MHz at 3.6V; MEM ~ 50°C load

620MHz isn't always stable and I have heavy visual artifacts. The score still scales upwards, so ... I'm fine with it. Increasing the voltage up even further doesn't help, so I guess the only thing left to do is decrease the temperatures

GPU

325-330MHz - default (1.66V)

350MHz - 1.7V

355MHz - 1.75V

370MHz - 1.8V (H²O)

375MHz - 1.85V (H²O) (MHz noch am Testen)

MEM

740 MHz (3.17V) keinen Mod.

2003

ca.

GT1 ca 6800 finish FPS

Have a Athlon XP 2200+ and a A7V600-X and runs on 1.8V Vcore stable. I set on board a jumper to overvolt, then is 1.6-1.8V available.

Btw, Massman, why nothing stated in rules about awards for winners?

Almost none of small competitions have even a word about rewards :)

I mean not 10000$ prizes, but simple things like trophy or cup for first TOP5 members.

This will get more people , competitive idea, battle for trophy , you know. Not only just for geeks who can mess with ancient videocards.

Sorry guys I just gather my last 2 liters of LN2 and I manage to squeeze 2909 valuable point on same setup. Because 2899 looks like a incapable score and I don't use backups.

Now really I'm retired and watching you. Good luck to everyone.
