rickss69 Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 That is just strange...hope they come up with a fix soon. Sucks to work your butt off for a good score and can do nothing with it. I'm a 100% to the good without the patch. Quote
xoqolatl Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 Sucks to work your butt off for a good score and can do nothing with it. So true: Score 1 (HD5770, rejected by ORB): Score 2 (HD5870 SOC, rejected by ORB): Quote
rickss69 Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 Just learned that there is something you can do about the failed submissions. Contact Pasi_FM at the forums and he can somehow send you some data that will enable you to validate those failed submissions. He states it is a known error with i7 cpu's, but in my case it was a AMD 1090T. Quote
xoqolatl Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 Thanks rickss Much appreciated. I managed to publish one of mine but it should be handy for other guys. Quote
rickss69 Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Seems some have figured a way to easily and quickly "dial" their scores in the Precision events. My last score only came after countless mind numbing hours and I never saw that magic number. Guess I will skip these and just concentrate on the main portion of the contest. Good luck to all. Quote
xoqolatl Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 rickss - My '03 scores are a product of two days re-running the same bench again and again... I was working and taking a break every 5 minutes to click "Benchmark" again. There was no "easy and quick dialing". And 3dm01 is very easy since you can run single test instead of the whole benchmark. Play with us, you'll see it's very easy Now '06 is going to be hard... Quote
rickss69 Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 It was only after some had stated they had hit the target score numerous times that I figured I was just extremely unlucky at this type of benching. Quote
zoro Posted May 8, 2010 Author Posted May 8, 2010 yeap! it is a matter of luck, not skills and a lot of patience 03 took me 2 days from 8 hours each non-stop! 01 is easy just to run the final test until you hit the target. 05 and 06 would be also hard as xoqolatl said Quote
xoqolatl Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 He already won? I thought there would be some kind of announcement... Quote
Massman Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 !! IMPORTANT !! I have just recieved the message that the rule regarding the usage of ES samples is removed from the competition to avoid confusion Quote
Diabolique Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 I'm concerned about using 5770 Super Overclock. Quote

zoro Posted May 26, 2010 Author Posted May 26, 2010 (edited) It seems that something is wrong during submission of "Stage 6: Precision Challenge W4 - 3DMark05" result. it reports that i haven't submit result with gigabyte videocard but i am sure i have checked the corresponding field like i have done the previous times! thanks the manufacturer cannot be read in videocard field? Massman Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Irony strikes again. - cost to compete <<< prize to win - winning system = fully retail - putting effort into benching yields $1500 Maybe it's time for all the whiners out there to face the facts: with a bit of effort you could have been the winner of the $1500 ... Well done, Ryba! Quote
ryba AICooling Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 thx Massman, this was great event and prizes! I have now great child-day here I can write few ironic word here, but trust me you don't want see them. Quote
