|ron
So, I tried to write the hwbot tag without specifying the height but it continues to have that default size. I'll use that way and I'll keep that topic on touch to see when you'll introduce fixes etc... Thanks in advance!

Is there an easy way to get this page to display on the forums or on a seperate/dedicated html page: http://hwbot.org/community/team/ocalliance?tab=rankings You mean like OCForums made? Or not specific in a forum but on a plain html page? http://www.overclockers.com/forums//showthread.php?t=646030 Testing new tags: Member info: [hwbot=massman]member[/hwbot] Team Info [hwbot=pure]team[/hwbot] Submission ranking [hwbot=app=wprime 32m,cooling=Water Cooling]submissionranking[/hwbot] Member ranking [hwbot=app=CPU-Z]memberranking[/hwbot] Team ranking [hwbot=region=europe]teamranking[/hwbot] Submission info [hwbot=949325]submission[/hwbot]

|ron
Can you point me to the page where it shows incorrectly please? Mmhh don't ask me why, but I just checked the thread in which I embedded the ranking and it goes from position 1 to 18, just like in your examples in this thread. Everything fine... p.s: as of now I can't link because I tried in a reserved staff area, but I'll soon post everything in the public team area

richba5tard
Added 2 more tags: membergoal and teamgoal. The idea is that it shows the difference between you and the person/team ranking one step higher than you. voidn: [hwbot=voidn]membergoal[/hwbot] ocforums: [hwbot=oc_forums]teamgoal[/hwbot]

eva2000
Awesome stuff, seems to work when i preview it in vB 3.8.5 add bbcode manager but not on actual forums, not sure if vbSEO script is interfering http://i4memory.com/f76/testing-hwbot-forum-ranking-beta-code-24296/ ? are results cached ? if so what's update frequency etc ? will it be able via traditional XML based API ? so i can cache it locally too in case hwbot site has issues. voidn
Heres a list of tags I know of. Replace the team/user/submission# with your own. Also the "10" is the # of results displayed and can be changed. Looking at your code, something tampers with the generated javascript. hwbot.org/exf2.js is replaced with 'hwbot.org/<acronym title="JavaScript">js</acronym>/exf2.<acronym title="JavaScript">js</acronym> '

richba5tard
@eva2000: you seem to have a plugin installed that generates HTML acronym tags in order to make it easier for search engines to read the HTML. It should not try to make an acronym in javascript though, that brakes the code. Is there anyway to blacklist "js" for this plugin?

richba5tard
It was the 'js' acronym that was causing this issue, if you remove it from the list the plugin should not interfere.

eva2000
Just some tidy tweaks are needed, for firefox 3.6.3 i have min font size set to 13 which cuts off top 20 ranks in my test thread. In IE8 it auto frames with scroll bar instead Firefox 3.6.3 with min font = 13 IE8
richba5tard
Font-size is exactly 12px, otherwise I can not calculate the height of the frames. How did you manage to change the min height to 13px? Did you specify a custom css with min height set to 13px? Or is this a setting embedded in your personal firefox installation? If the latter, it is a challenge to fix, but it is possible if you upload a custom hwbot.external.php file on your server. I can explain you why if you are interested in the technical details.
eva2000
the min font size is firefox option set under content tab which overrides anything else, so yeah you can't control what folks use for browser settings but would help for folks on larger resolution displays who may have font size set differently. Yeah custom hwbot.external.php file would be great as I off load it to my secondary server with nginx Also what are all region values available for this tag ? [noparse][hwbot=region=europe]teamranking[/hwbot][/noparse] is there an region=all value ? to display the old team member ranks ? as i tried it and didn't work heh
richba5tard
Yes, but if you set the "option" flag to true for the vbulletin tag, vbulletin will not parse the tag if it has no option. The option is the value after hwbot: [ hwbot=...][/hwbot] So, you have to write [ hwbot=]teamranking[/hwbot].
