Passed by Guanghua today (local computer diy district) to pick up a Rasberry Pi and saw the Z87 marketing is starting to kick in. Only came across Asus advertising though.

Oh okay ... had no idea about that.

It was rather weird to see only Asus banners up in the streets. Now it kind of makes sense.

i thought it extended to chipset name if not part of the actual product name

Z87 is part of the product name on all of the channel boards. Z87 Deluxe, Z87 Pro, Z87-A, Z87 WS, etc. etc.

Correct, so if you say Z87X-OC or Z87 Deluxe it is a model name. Z87 on it's own is not a model name but chipset name.

Anyway it seems the idea of NDA is still confusing or ....

Its real weird that we can mention the names of the boards, but we have to say 8 series chipsets.

Makes a lot of sense :P

Heh, honestly, I can't read what comes after "Z87" on those posters, so it may or may not be the model number. :o

Heh, the NDA date is always also under NDA. Best I feel safe saying is 'soon', but you probably already know that considering the amount of pre-release PR going on. A long rumored date has been out there, but it's ever so slightly wrong. Sorry, that's the best I can do. Others may feel they can share more. :)
