Have tried 5 different kits of 2x4, best bclk about 345 useable, timings sucked. CPU flat out hates anything above 2x2. You're sitting on top of a mountain that's pretty hard to climb, nice show!!!!!

Never had a problem using bcdedit in W7 don't know about XP. Open Command Prompt in Windows 7, Vista, or XP In these versions of Windows, Command Prompt is found through a folder group in the Start menu. Open the Start Menu in the bottom-left corner of the screen. Go to All Programs > Accessories. Choose Command Prompt from the list of programs, should be a menu popup in W7 when the cursor is over the command with the option to run as Admin. In Windows 7 and Windows Vista, it's a bit faster to enter command in the search box at the bottom of the Start menu and then choose Command Prompt when it appears in the results. Probably a hiccup with BM, scores aren't reflecting the speed. Score does need some CPUz attention.

Strong CPU with a slot machine bench. Been playing with some higher core count V3/V4's actually seen 1k higher scores than my average high norm, how many fliers get posted, don't know.

Have no idea of budget, so general help. Hardware/Motherboards/Intel/LGA775/Chipsets (X38/X48/P45), search Ebay based on board name and popularity to find something based on budget. Personally, like Asus X38/48 boards for Core Due and Kentfield, Gigabyte P45 for Yorkfield. DDR2 variants show up more often than DDR3 boards and the latter can come at a much higher price point if available at all. P45 would be a better all around, GA-EP45-UD3P/UD3R, DDR3 variants EP45T.

I'm working on it, got some GB to work on too.

AMD - GPU - Stage 2 Thought I had the latest Sys Info, using 5.50. Seeing 5.52 available is this going to be a problem?

How the first post phrased the statement was rather interesting as it has nothing to do with what is done in 2D, If the intent was to run 2 cards and only one used and posted as two sounds pretty black & white to me. Then again why are global points available for benches that don't scale well with multiple cards, just makes the gray thinkers minds start to wonder. Caught a statement about 2D making more points, actually does. 54.24% of HW points earned by the top 1000 from the HW masters list was based on 2D. 2D is cheaper to run, haven't looked at global points. Data set used about a month old now. Bench tweaking, have read some pretty long winded SuperPi guides over the years, in-fact more involved than most of the 3Dmark01 guides I've stashed for reference.

Thanks, efficiency lacking but freq's worked, new to me board.

I haven't done 3D for awhile but Afterburner will increase allowable freq based on last run if the right switches are set as I remember.
