  1. You pretty much shut down your help by not answering the asked questions or providing any supportive info. FYI, AMD 785GX is a chipset model. There are only about 100 different motherboards that use it. Also, CPU-Z is more than just a frequency monitor and everybody here knows exactly what it is, so your explanation was not necessary. It only made you sound more derogatory. You came here asking for help, nobody here is going to pull teeth for your info to do so.

  2. As for result.txt its not in the official rules page.

Nice Mr.Moose imitation. You're supposed to know better. ;)

    Until the wrapper are ready

    1. Futuremark link -ORB-required for all top 20 submissions either global or hardware.

    2. For all non-top 20 submissions either Futuremark link or Pcm05 Results.txt required via screen shot.

    3. Include real pictures of your rig, specifically storage and cooling.

This is Mandatory for all submissions in PcMark'05

If you use ORB link, screenshot basic is equally mandatory

  3. Lol, you honk;) To you really think, i search 1000 of submits for any errors, lol...

Doesn't really matter what I think, but I would say it might be wise for you to at least check your own before you're labeled as a persistent offender and penalized. You knew the changes were coming and were forewarned to check and delete your subs, just like everybody else, yet you still fail to do so. It's on you, nobody else. If somebody else has to do it for you then you deserve what ever happens.

  4. No Moose, you relentless twat.... That doesn't make me wrong. rolleyes.gif

In fact, my point was that 4GB cache may not be needed vs 2GB cache, and your comment does nothing to address this. Also, my point was that if 4GB cache is not reported correctly in Areca BIOS, Areca support was NO help in advising on what sticks are compatible. Perhaps this problem has been addressed, or perhaps you got lucky on your 4GB stick being compatible - your testing does nothing to indicate one way or another, except that your 4GB stick and your 1882IX happens to work fine. Good for you.

Additionally, you failed to grasp the point I was communicating. Your post also doesn't mean that 4GB cache yields any advantage over 2GB, as in my past experience, my Gen Usage was competing directly with other top Gen Usage scores given the SSD's I was using... A few of the people I was competing against were also on the 1882IX, and may have been on 2GB or 4GB, I don't know. I was unable to test 4GB vs 2GB 1882IX cache, because out of all the 4GB sticks tested, all were detected as 2GB.

So, if you test various other 4GB sticks and they work too, that would be relevant. And if you find 4GB does present an advantage in PCM05 verses 2GB, that would be relevant. If you find 4GB cache is better than 2GB cache in PCM05, then you can accurately say that I was wrong.

Finally, I'm sick of seeing you around the forums pestering everyone over PCM05. I don't even run this shit anymore, partially because everyone who trashed it, and partially because people like you going on like PCM05 belongs to them and they are some sort of gift to the benchmark. You are annoying.

While I don't disagree with you, this is not your usual levelheaded post. Take a deep breath bro. ;)

  5. Why I want to use XP-64 is not the issue of this thread. I'm trying to figure out how to make crossfire work in XP, not why, and not discussing the pro's or con's of using XP vs whatever.

So.. unless you have something constructive to add about getting crossfire with modern cards to work in XP, please don't post.

One thing I have't tried yet that I just thought of and might try is using XP 32 instead of 64, if it will mean getting crossfire support.

I only asked why. Your politeness was very kind. Don't expect mine the next time. ;)
