  1. Ehm, I dont play the game at all, what does that say?

    Understood.;)

    I don't play either.

I find it ironic that in the not so distant past, Optytrooper was labeled a PCM05 cheat for suspicion of using powertoy, that was never proven BTW, and what goes on now makes that look paltry in comparison. Now it's all high fives and "nice tweak" and nobody seems to think anythings wrong with that. It's bullsh1t.

  2. As stated many many times before, when the mods admit it can't be moderated, it's time to eliminate the bench, or at least the points.

Personally I don't like the PCM05 anymore. I liked it back in 2008 but now it's 98% about tweaks and 2% hardware. Imo this is not what a benchmark is about.

Evidence of a perfectly good bench ruined by hackers.

Take away the points, I guaranty nobody will waste their time on it any more.

  3. The question is why HDTune doesn't work with it, but PCMark05 works and how PCMark is indicative for system performance :P

If a 3DMark run bugs and I see a black screen through the whole subtest, then when my subtest score is a lot higher than comparable systems, my score is invalid (for obvious reasons). When someone discovers another loophole/exploit in PCMark, then it's a tweak.

    But yeah..I'm a hater, you know :).

It's ok, you can hang with me and the other haters anytime. ;)

  4. I would like to clear this a bit more...

I don't like my submissions to be reported, so... the question is:

We have an Phenom II X2 550BE...

We unlock it to quad core but we disable two cores as per below attached screenshot...

    http://www.hwbot.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1353&stc=1&d=1348875005

Can we submit results to X2 category let's say for wprime32m?

For benches that use only one core as pifast & spi1m i think there is no problem,

But is it acceptable to submit results to other benchmarks that use multiple cores?

Since we use only 2 cores i think it is legal but i prefer to clear it out first before i submit results...

    Anyone pls?

This is my recent spi1m submission including all the above... is it OK to submit all other results to X2 category?

    http://www.hwbot.org/submission/2316896_varachio_superpi_phenom_ii_x2_550_be_11sec_828ms?recalculate=true

Can I ask why you bother to unlock if you're just going to use it as a dual anyway?

EDIT- Nevermind. Probably just picking the 2 highest clocking cores and disabling the other two.

  5. It sucks that these two won their challenges when their results are incorrect. Maybe I should delete both?

Fair. Couldn't follow the rules in their own stacked challange. That's pretty bad. ;)

  6. maybe just a little comparison:

If there was a questionable penalty in the 5th minute of a football game the ref will decide it in the 5th minute.

He will not come after playtime and call "uhhh I think I was wrong in the 5th minute this penalty does not count".

Bad comparison, there is no 'real time' ref at HWB. It relies on the members and staff to police the subs when they have time. Ultimately it is the responsibility of the bencher to check his sub for accuracy before he submits it. If you don't want or like that, then it should be up to their respective team captains to check it for them. There is no fault of the staff or anybody else here, except the bencher who submitted the entry and maybe his team for not checking it.

  7. Calm down mate. Its calling Team Benching. We benched very good. Maybe better than other Teams. But if one member didn't looked carefully over the cup rules and we, the more experienced benchers didnt make him aware of it, we failed.

You did bench very well. Don't be so hard on yourself. Things slip by. It's very hard to police every single sub made by your team.

I've seen other subs by other teams with errors in them. They will be found also.;)

Great comp, loved it. See you the next go round. :)
