To point 1, I DO check the rules when comps start to be sure I haven't overlooked anything. Even by doing that I've gotten it wrong before, instead of wasting effort griping I just made sure the next time it was done right. My first sub in the DDR part of this comp is the latest from me, was done and such BUT I forgot to include a closeup of my sticks. Even though all the rest was fine it wasn't a "Correct" entry so it had to be thrown out... And I'm good with that and will get it right the next time whenever this happens, doublechecking the rules being part of that process. Like everything else they are subject to change and it's the bencher's responsibility to be aware of and to comply with said rules. This was established long ago as just being "How it is" so we all have to play by that. To point 2, it's nothing about you - This was about Damion reporting a sub ALREADY said to be fine yet he continued reporting it..... Multiple times at that. This is just part of what I had said here earlier, this relating mainly to part 2 of this post: https://community.hwbot.org/topic/175335-hwbot-rev71-point-recalculation-in-progress/?do=findComment&comment=507791

The rule about not covering any of the rendered scene has been in place for a few months at the very least, if this run was done and subbed recently then there is simply no excuse. Also, since the subject entry of this thread had already been determined as "Valid" yet it got reported more then once AFTER the staff determined it to be OK, that's not a good thing. I do hope this wasn't a "If you can't beat 'em, report 'em" tactic because that's just not cool if so.

Frequency detection bug with old Socket 5 CPUs
This is a sad state of affairs and I have to say "Thank You" to Strunkenbold, it's not everyone that's willing to take on the task in this situation - In fact a heart-felt thank you is due to all that's stepped up and made things work up until this point. I have to echo Splave's statement, the staff are the ones that's supposedly running the show, making the decisions and whatever else - And I'll just say it, it's past time to say what you mean and mean what you say or else related to these problems.

The Official Team CUP 2018 DDR stage thread:
Thanks for the reply ? - I've already beaten what I'll ever do with a 754 so it wasn't really about me so much. More like in the case of someone that would only have a 754 system and nothing else to run DDR with and thought to get clarification about it before it became an issue.

The Official Team CUP 2018 DDR stage thread:
Quick question - In SC1: DDR1 stage 8 of the DDR comp, are subs ran with a Socket 754 system allowed?

This is for anyone needing a CPU-Z version that will run with Socket A. Be sure to scan the file itself before unzipping but I believe it's OK. cpu-z_1.59-32bits-en.zip

Official HWBOT TEAM CUP 2018 Thread
Wish I had your luck looking, I only saw one desktop Venice period and a pair of Sempy's as said earlier. Never said they coudn't be found, only that between the three named models this won't be so easy for everyone to have a decent shot at getting one if they need to based on what I saw when I was looking. If the other two models were included that would make things much easier to at least get what one would need to compete and add variety to the mix.

Official HWBOT TEAM CUP 2018 Thread
Noted a Venice core is stated for Socket 754 - Would probrably be better if the more commonly found Newcastle or Clawhammer were included too at least. Venice chips for 754 aren't as easy to find as the other two cores. Not saying they can't be found, it's more of going with what's easy to find and get for cheap. I've looked today and saw only one Venice, all the rest being either Newcastle or Clawhammer chips with a couple of 3300+ Semprons in the mix - Clearly a Sempron just won't cut it for the comp regardless of what core it's based on. Of the two additional chips a Newcastle would be the best choice overall if anything else for overall availability and price.

Socket 754 DFI Infinity NF4X database problem
Thanks - I'll see if there are any others that need to be corrected and do so if I find them.

Socket 754 DFI Infinity NF4X database problem
Noted alot of my subs with an Infinity NF4X got changed to a Foxconn P35 board I've never owned and suspect it's due to a previous database crash/bug/error.... Something. When I try to edit the entry and put in "Infinity NF4X" as it should be it doesn't show up in the sub's info at all (Blank) once edited. Also it doesn't appear via javascript if a partial name is used such as using for example, "Ultra-D" to make the NF3 or NF4 versions of these boards appear in the box to select from. Would appreciate this being looked into when possible - Thanks in advance guys! ?

Looking for a team
I didn't know Mr. Scott had that many credits stashed..... Guess he dipped into his scotch fund for that.

Can't seem to submit an entry in Div VI
It's all working now, thank you for fixing this and all else you've done here - Wanted to say that while you were still in. For anyone else with these submission probs popping up it's probrably java related like it was for me and you may have to temporarily disable any ad or domain blockers that would affect java for it to work.

Can't seem to submit an entry in Div VI
I believe I've solved it but unfortunately it's java related. Had to shutdown my domain blocker for keeping the crypto-hackers out to make it work but now at least it does with Super PI. I'll try the others in a few and see what happens.

Can't seem to submit an entry in Div VI
I keep getting errors when I try to do a sub. The first errors I got was saying I didn't have the correct background when I did use it, downloaded from the links provided and set it as the desktop wallpaper for these runs and it's clearly visible as the correct wallpaper within the screenies. Last night it did this with every attempt to do a sub, validation files or whatever else. Today it's saying I have errors with my subs yet it's not saying what these errors are and I'm entering all the needed info per bench, esp with 32M Super PI - I know all that is getting entered yet it's still giving me this error message and yep, the wallpaper is there as it should be too. I'm also using the sub link within the correct category for each bench ran within these stages.
