  1. Won't allow me to sub as HD 8950, and editing afterwards won't work. @admins please change to HD 8950
  2. Hey, would you be interested in benching for USA for Country Cup?

  3. In the upper right hand corner it shows I have notifications, however when I click on them rather than give the drop down to show what type of notifications I have it takes me to my subscribed threads and the notifications don't go away.
  4. Thanks! Now if only I could get them to ship to US...
  5. It may be the IMC too, cause when I was trying to get those sweet, sweet XTU points on an i5 3470 I found that the IMC started performing worse at higher bclk, actually running worse clocks and timings.

If I didn't manage to find on on Craigslist for $80 and a drive I would be all over this
  7. It sounds like you should do some testing on if cpu matters and share your results with us but I think that the core may not care so much but you may be able to bin IMCs.
  8. 8950 or 8970? There's 8950's for $200 right now which might be doable for a working one if it end up being the only way. But preferably I'd rather get an 8970 if I'm paying that much...
  9. Why don't you just ask Intel if they can throw some racks your way?
  10. HD 8000 was a rebadge of HD 7000 for OEMs. I have an 8950, however it crashes under any load, as far as I can tell the GPU core was heavily degraded or something as it seemed okay at like 1250 mv and 500 mhz. I guess I could just flash the bios from my HD 8950 on my reference HD 7950, but I also want to bench it on hwbot and I don't believe in that kind of thing. Hopefully I can find an 8970, but they're hella rare. 8950s are easier to find but have an inflated value vs a 280 or 7950.
  11. I'm a collector, and I would love to get my hands on the rare HD 8970 or HD 8950. I know they're the same as HD 7970 and 7950, however I would really like to have them for my collection. If anyone has one reach out to me and maybe we can work out a deal.
  12. I'm glad someone mentioned this before I've had a chance to run SuperPi as I totally would've missed it otherwise. Thanks! @suzuki and @websmile
  13. Not sure why there's a requirement for spd or motherboard as it doesn't tell us much about what speed you were running, but I guess it's nice to know all the parts that were used. I guess we'll just have to make sure and use at gpus that can output at least 1080p
  14. Does this also mean 3 different AMD cpus? Or would it be okay to do all 3 subs with a 1950x for example so long as gpus are different?
  15. Exactly, I don't see anyone complaining that it's gonna end up being 2 gpu cores to make up 5 subs for gpupi.
  16. Really not sure the confusion here? Everything intel calls a kabylake i7 is a kabylake i7, everything they call a skylake i7 is a skylake i7 seems to make sense to me. If you want to try to beat a 4770k with a 5960x that's on your IMHO should be the same for x299 vs z170.
  17. Are you sure your system pic isn't too big? I usually have to put it in an image shrinker so it fits within the hwbot limit.
  18. Okay, so now that the comp is live the stage rules are on each stage page. However on for stage 1 is only says an intel cpu is required with no mention of cpu subfamiles. Also stage 5 has a requirement of: A videocard manufactured by 1. I'm not sure what it's 1 of, but might want to check on that. Also overview still implies there's a final stage after all 6 of these stages that involves multi-gpu (Copy Pasta FTW again!) Could you take a look at these @Massman ?
  19. They should be the same, look at how they're classified on hwbot. Both kabylake i7.
  20. Okay, thanks! That makes it crystal clear. Should be really fun this way.
