  1. I saw it was a recent score and that's one reason that I blocked it (easy to rebench). FYI, wprime frequency isn't realtime, so it's not accurate (you can raise the clocks after opening wprime). I agree that the score is not suspicious, but it's a decent score and it'll get a few views then it looks better if it's done properly, right?
  2. I wouldn't call it "the first OC board" if it didn't have some features that would blow the competition away. I mean... it sounds weird when a dedicated OC board is on par with a board designed for gamers, right? The price tag is nice, and it does it's job in a very nice way, and that's why it'll be an attractive board for overclockers - not because it's groundbreaking OC wise.
  3. Sure people will get lucky with Sandy Bridge, but a part of the game is indeed to get the good hardware. To stay near the top you need both good HW AND skill. Plus, SB isn't good for either CPUZ or wprime. You can get some Ok scores in superpi 1m and 32m if you've got a REALLY golden chip, but if you take golden chips into account, GT still owns.
  4. Some 3D benchmarks already get WR bonus boints, so what you're talking about is already taken into account. Plus, there are more 3D benchmarks than 2D (8 VS 6 + PCMark05) so by running 3D you can get a LOT more points than just running 2D.
  5. The main difference is the money you have to buy to be able to get a complete setup. You still need subzero to get 5.7+ results, so if you're too scared to run your chip that way you'll still be behind - although alot closer than before. This is not bad at all, in any way. You still have to tweak AND have a good chip to get good scores.
  6. I sent some $$$, but gift was not an option:D I'm in!
  7. Yes, this needs to be fixed manually. Just report the scores you find, then we'll take care of it.
  8. No, I don't usually fuck up that stuff:p I own the 790X board, but I never benched it. nearly all my scores are with the two 790FXB DDR2 boards (790FXB-M2RSH and 790FXB-M2RS). I also have the 790FX-M2R, I believe I used t a long time ago, but for some reason it didnt like to go subzero from what I remember, so most of those scores should be beaten by now:D FXB means SB750, FX means SB600 FYI. 790X is also SB750.
  9. the 790FXB boards are SB750, 790FX-M2R is SB600. I also have a 790X-M2RS:D DFI freak in the house:D
  10. By adding WR bonus to 1 and 2 GPU rigs (especially singlecard) those scores will be worth WAY too much compared to for example 2D and 4 card. The WR bonus was originally created because 3 and 4 GPU setups are not that popular, so the global boints didnt reflect the skill it took to bench the platform. Atm maybe dual-GPU setups need a WR bonus, but it should be like half of the bonus for 3 and 4 GPU rigs, to avoid any scores being boosted too much boint wise.
  11. How about the following competition: Stage 1: Superpi 32m w/Elpida Hyper Stage 2: Superpi 32m w/PSC CPU frequency limits should be discussed, so they dont fit perfectly to one type, and not the other.
  12. Does this mean you're comparing highend kits without taking the best results into consideration? (no >2700MHz scores allowed) If you want to compare top end products you need to compare top end results, too. GTX2's aren't for average joe overclockers:D
  13. Bug, i suppose... it's MY gold cup, damnit:D
  14. Maybe he's trying to say that it's impossible to figure out what runs are bugged or not:)
  15. IU've got ONE chip, it freezes during the loading screen (the one that pulsates), using win 7. Hard wall or just bound by something? My board isnt that much of an overclocker's mobo tbh... dunno if that's the reason it wont do 5600.
  16. Cedar mills aren't "made for overclockers". K-chips, maybe - as they're advertized as being for overclockers. Black Edition... dunno, but I dont really think so.
  17. I dunno, but what about other, OC related stuff? Like afterburner, lightning series, etc. I'd say those things are just as OC related as the gigabyte mobo. A section for Lightning overclocking would be cool, and maybe some afterburner subforum. Maybe that one wont be that active, but it would be a good source of information about releases etc.
  18. Man, didn't see this one before. Mighty nice, Billy Now please run the other benchmarks as well
  19. L040B165: #1021: 5600MHz Edit: I'm a rookie though... could be user error that it wont go higher
