  1. Hi, So as above, I'm moving soon and there should be enough room in the new house to have a benching setup again so I'm thinking of trying to get back into it so I'm on the lookout for some s775 stuff to get me going I should have a working i45 and some DDR2, so I guess mainly looking for a variety of chips along with other bits and bobs to get a complete setup going
  2. Thanks I was expecting to see an option on the submission screen, didn't think about submitting it first.
  3. I think I must be missing something obvious, what's the data file we have to upload to take part in the competition?
  4. Hi, As above, thought I'd try to get back into benching a bit just by submitting some scores of my laptop, which has a Nvidia Optimus chip, which switches (in theory) between the HD 4000 and 660M, however I came to the realisation that it wasn't switching when running AQ3, Catzilla or Unigine (won't run Unigine basic at all which I assume is a whole different story) and was just running them using the HD4000, anyone have any experience with this? From a google it seems certain things can't use the optimus, are benchmarks some examples of software that don't trigger the switch? I can turn off the nvidia gpu in the bios but not the intel. Any ideas would be appreciated
  5. Great thanks, the page was bugging out for me (as you can see by the double comment )
  6. Oh that link, I think I pressed delete on this earlier, if that's the link I need can that deletion be stopped?
  7. Oh I thought I deleted this earlier after someone said it didn't have the needed link and since I've reinstalled since I didn't know how I'd get it. Can I add the link and it not be deleted?
  8. Ticket ID: 1813 Priority: Low Hi,\r\nI was going to submit some results with this cpu but it doesn\'t seem to be in the database so I was wondering if it could be added?\r\nIt\'s this one:\r\nhttp://ark.intel.com/products/52273/\r\n\r\nThanks\r\nGeorge
  9. I guess I can always get nicer RAM in the future if I find my current RAM limits me. At the moment I don't even know how much I'll get back 'into it'. Fair enough, I didn't know that, but as you say, that should be enough, at least for now. You can look at some of the results I've done in the past to get an idea of what I'll be doing RAM is something I can buy in the future if I want to upgrade it, but since I've got stuff that works now, and should let me get back into overclocking I'm happy using it
  10. I've already got them, I'm assuming they should be ok to 600+ I know they can do 550 CAS4 which I would assume would be fine for anything I could manage using just a single stage? The reason for looking at s775 is because of the low cost since I already own most of the things I'd need
  11. Realised I may also need a HDD of some sort for my OS as well, may have an IDE 160gb HDD but not sure if it works, so thought maybe a small SSD (60gb?) might be a good idea?
  12. People wouldn't have to take a whole week off, you could make it a long weekend (Friday to Monday)

    s775 goodies

Hey, As above, I'm considering dipping my toe back into overclocking, so I thought I'd start with something I have a bit of experience with, and already have some hardware for so it won't cost me too much! Looking for some s775 chips to play around with using an SS. They'll be used with a Biostar i45 and OCZ Flex DDR2 (if that makes any difference) I'm based in the UK. Thanks
  14. Hey, Thought I'd have a look at some of my old results etc (been tempted to start benching again) and I can see on my profile I've got some hw cups, but I can't find an easy way to find out what they are? If there isn't one, why not make easy links to them or something, and if there is, could someone explain? Thanks
  15. No globals for cpu-z??? And it's not working for me, getting nothing, server getting hammered?
  16. I have no idea in this personal case. But if there is evidence either way, which you've certainly hinted to Massman, then why don't you say/show it. Cos you don't want the hassle? This is your job Massman, you get paid to do it, so do it.
  17. Certainly interesting how MSI UK chose the competitors, care to shed any light on that if you know anything Rawz? Looks like you got a bit of work to do in the coming weeks.
  18. I gotta agree with Splave here, how comes some people are allowed to submit results with non available HW, but others aren't?
  19. Awesome score! Why bother with all 4 cores? Glad to see atleast some of it is going right
