  1. That's all there is bro, card died soon after. I'm sure there will be more, just not for this comp. That mod was for vgpu, I didn't want to disable OCP just yet so that it would hopefully kick in instead of frying the card but I had 2 cards go at around 1.32-1.35
  2. These submissions aren't taking overall world records, just a record for that respective core count. PC05 for example, all of the world records are taken with single CPU, 4 core setups, the scores from these big server setups are actually lower. Overall world records are highly contested, there will be no issue with points there. I understand that a lot of tweaking and work is needed for these setups to put out a good score, but what setup doesn't need that? I put hours and hours and hours into my setups for single benchmarks, sometimes that doesn't pay off with big points. For me the result itself is the rewarding aspect.
  3. This has been coming for a while now, it's something that has been brought up a few times and was supported by many. More contestants in a category make it more competitive. The more competitive it is, the harder it is to top. The harder the result, the higher the reward. Makes complete sense to me. HW points have followed that same formula for as long as I have been around. I'm also surprised at the value some people hold in points. If you enjoy benching how ever many core setups and like to take world records that way then go for it. Just as there are people who enjoy playing with legacy hardware or other exotic setups and don't complain about the lack of points they receive for it. I think it would be disappointing if people just stopped trying and left behind what they really enjoy doing just because it no longer rewarded them the same amount of points. That or it's not a case of enjoying that over other hardware at all and instead just an 'exploitation' of current point engine rewards. Ala easy points.
  4. Well this took a disappointing turn What about people who have modded and tested their card before comp start?
  5. Just wondering if older cpu platforms will be allowed in stage 2, or only haswell? Thanks
  6. The guys worked hard for this result dude, it's not all about points, it's a good submit. Not even a good ES, many retail can beat this.
  7. Uncore multi doesn't change on 1.0 ratio f5h. Pretty sure I have it working when I move to 1.25 ratio though. F5H much better for clocking samsung for me than B10. 2666 vs 2800 stable.
  8. B10 bios fixes uncore multiplier on 100 strap. Seems to be working for me, 40x applied no problems at least - just prelim testing. http://www.mediafire.com/download/7v1c3176s876v56/B10.ZIP
  9. Looks like a nice chip man. Testing 2 myself tomorrow, inb4 5.8g max
  10. Come on Rbuass, you're a good bencher man but every time things don't go your way we get threads like this. Just get on and bench. I vote the rules stay the same. ES in pro league.
  11. Damn dude, that's a tragedy! Good to hear insurance is taking care of things though. I still would have been piiiissed.
  12. Dammit I JUST finished paying off my ln2 bills
  13. It's because of the new forum subdomain, links are pointing to forum.hwbot.org/submission instead of to hwbot.org/submission. I just wouldn't have bothered with the subdomain myself, has caused a lot of hassle for something so trivial.
