  1. if thie badge on this said 'ASUS', fanboys would buy these in thousands
  2. Don't tell me you're going after Andre in the overall ranking?
  3. Why does the score tab show that benchmark was not ran using default settings?
  4. FoX fell asleep while testing a Bloomfield alone. When I came to check him, CPU was already at positive temps.
  5. Very impressive frequency given the board maker and chipset
  6. why is this thread named after loadline calibration and not lowclock challenge?
  7. looks decent, but I'd like the heatsinks to be actually heatsinks
  8. You can find gems with black PCB too, only a matter of binning. I saw more gems with green PCB, though. After all, 2133C8 RipjawsX clock better than any other BBSE model out there, and they're so rare that you don't usually have choice.
  9. may be he was talking about s754 or s939 chips
  10. never thought that a solid guy like Perica will ever fall in love with a custom CPU-Z version
  11. you must fail too much if you have worn the CLR_CMOS button to a point of its failure
  12. let's start http://hwbot.org/newsflash/538_westsiders_i7_960_records_removed_from_hwbot
  13. Round 2: Christian Ney vs DHL
  14. I think Massman once said something like "it's overclocking => more cpu speed = higher rank"
  15. Someone pretends they can out-troll Christian Ney? lol
  16. Vivi, if you're with PSC on air it's best to aim for 1250 8-11-8 at ~1.85 and use very tight subs (LB5 or so if you're on ASUS). Good PSC like your PNY will run 32M at 1333+ 8-12-8 on air but such freqs are useless as you can't run them tight. @Albrecht - my entire BBSE collection consists of one 2133C8 kit which is worse than yours. websmile has three, someone needs to rob him while at CP in Berlin
  17. what ICs are those Patriots, by the way?
  18. These mems are more of a marketing statement than a useful product. New GTX will be the same, you can rip your ass binning Samsung, but you won't be able to beat decent BBSE.
  19. pffft ... overwriting with a sticker is way too ASUS-style
  20. I see hwbot has started using external storage for screenshots. Sample score: http://hwbot.org/submission/2305543 Sample screenshot link: http://d1ebmxcfh8bf9c.cloudfront.net/u25250/image_id_825120.x-png ... not a hwbot.org/* link like it used to be in the past. Because of this I can't actually view the screenshots in the browser, can only save them on my hard drive, which is a bit uncomfortable.
  21. I think that 1600 7-7-7 models of Geil are BBSE rather than PSC. You can check that out by looking on the side of ICs - BBSE have white stripes while PSC don't (A3G-P PSC also have stripes, but they're too bad for such spec). With DDR3-2133 on Sandy Bridge, PSC run best on 7-10-7-27, BBSE at 7-9-7-24. Start with 1.8Vmem, 1.10Vccio, 1.15Vccsa and Auto subs and work your way down. There are also presets in the BIOS.
