    Going too low end leaves room for unicorn cards. for ATI/AMD I find one of these options adequate: RV740 - ATI Radeon HD 4770 Juniper - AMD Radeon HD 6770 Cape Verde Oland/Mars/Opal

    RV710 core sounds good to me. @TheQuentincc had a look around, cape verde and Oland/Mars/Opal gpu's can get pricy quick, on average 25-45$

    GF108 (Fermi) should be interesting. Lots of different cheap cards available with this core.
