It's not unique to Intel either. On Ryzen on certain boards and multi combos CPU-Z will suddenly show 80 BCLK and wrong mult but right frequency. Very annoying when you are on LN2 and need a valid screenshot.
Just getting started on a bit of PSC fun on Bloomfield - not sure if the IMC is different compared to Gulftown? Threw in a random kit, I might have to switch to my best one as I was getting NOT EXACT@ 6-11-6 over about 1050 or with 6-10-6 above 1,000:
Any minor voltages that could help? I couldn't find DDR termination for example.
Since x299 supports two completely different architectures (Kaby-X and Sky-X) that have things like FIVR vs. no FIVR, extra PCI-E lanes etc. it's up to the motherboard vendor to support one or both of these. ASUS chose to make a set of BIOSes that support XP but they are Kaby-X only. Not sure how it works on the OCF?
Mystery solved, at the native resolution of my browser / laptop the third I disappears:
When I click on the image to view it fullscreen, the third I is visible. Weird!
I must need glasses I could swear I saw II instead of III.
What's wrong with necro bumps? I am looking at the database of old results that happened before I joined HWBot and commenting on interesting stuff. If you don't like seeing these threads pop up, then just don't go in the subforum? You can comment exclusively on new stuff by clicking on the subs on the main page, those are guaranteed to be < 24 hrs old...
I didn't realise any of these people were retired, sad! Now I regret making this topic. Maybe there is some hope still for Hideo? Last results in the 8700K era, less than 1 year ago.
Any chance you would consider splitting the 5800K from the board? That board is not idea for LN2 and would increase shipping unnecessarily for me (and probably others here too).
