Yeah Server 2012 clocks a bit higher than Win 7 but can't use it for CB because Win 8+ is banned on Ryzen because of the BCLK bug. Cinebench does best High + dragged offscreen, realtime is hit and miss scoring-wise and usually just more unstable.
What do 23 an 26 POST codes mean? I assume CBB since I'm on Kaby-X fullpot but I'd just like to confirm. Reseating the RAM module, pulling power and retying eventually fixed this.
Don't worry, I've changed my pot tightening routine I've never heard of cracked paste on AMD and I would know about it if it happened because I put a probe directly in the socket.
Can't compare x265 on Intel to x265 on AMD. It runs wayyy lighter whereas CB runs as heavy (if not heavier?) on AMD. Must be related to AVX.
I struggle with CB11. 5/15 getting too hot, so my scores are at less than 5.3 Ghz. Chip is good for lighter benches. Any tips for Cinebench appreciated :)
I turned off the board, removed the power cables, cleared CMOS briefly - then overnight. All of this didn't help, I still get 00 on both BIOSes. I will look into the flashback option, thx.
Will ASROCK send me a BIOS chip if I ask them? I think I may have screwed both BIOSes, I just get 00 now since I flipped the switch while it was running
Well all 7 chips I've run on LN2 did better fullpot. In general Ryzen scales very well with cold, maybe you got a bad bin? Then again the IMC can be very flaky cold, the retry button is your friend and make sure to keep the RAM warm enough!
Yes, it's by far the best out of the four 8-core Ryzens I've benched cold so far.
Ryzen is always fullpot, unlike the pansy Intel CPUs that either CB or crack paste fullpot No but seriously, it doesn't make sense to bench warmer than fullpot because the IMC is much worse -100 to -150 than below 150.
