  1. Don't want to take any credit, but I just feel that the ones who have really created the "PRO overclocking" scene and done all the scores and work during these fu***ng hard years are not taken in to account at all. This new league idea is just some personal opionion how things should go in the future. I think it will be as boring as the current system as overclocking can not be interesting no matter what you do. Where was this discussion about new league and with who was decisions done?
  2. If I would be single man and my age would be 24 I could easily take part, I think. No real life responsibilities and all what I do would be just fun. Having all 3 kids, 2 jobs and a lot of other things to do, this doesn't look like a very good idea. I am not sure can I be motivated to hunt CPU-frequency or do some 3DM11 all out for example. This is actually really hard for me, but I am not sure if I can find any way to be in. League won't need me, but still it sucks.
  3. Just saw this thread. Good topic to discuss. I would not say overclocking is dying, but it is getting so mainstream, that there is no need to make fuss about it. Almost all users can jump up 1 or more multipliers and have overclocked system. In our country people were enthusiastic about OC when it was not mainstream and there was still some sort of mysterious cloud around it (late 90's to 200X). I think people used to enjoy watching when some pioneers of overclocking did something what was totally unreal in that point. Replaced crystal and LN2 for computer!!! Really? Now more than 10 years have passed and overclocking never became popular hobby. It was never that large and it will never get large. There is just not enough interesting factors in overclocking and it is totally impossible to watch more than 3 minutes for every normal people. This is the sad fact. I have done this long long time, but none of my normal life friends, wife, kids, parents etc have not been able to watch even a minute, cause it is so boring sh*t. I feel same way in a poetry course or while I watch 5 minutes of chess match...yawn... HWbot rankings are international and they have a good marketing value for vendors. HWbot is one of the things which have kept OC alive all these years and have made it sort of a real "professional" hobby. We also need to thank some vendors who have used money for international competitions, which have been so good for us. The ones who blame hwbot about making oc so commercial are just so wrong and they can not see the whole picture. I can understand where those thoughts are coming from, but they are still not correct. We can not forget Futuremark, who have done these professional 3D benchmarks all these years. We have seen some others trying, but market is so little and the products have been so bad, that there have never been real alternatives. Maybe this is one reason why our overclocking behavior is what it is nowadays and we focus so much on the 3Dmark scores etc. If benchmarks would have been totally different since beginning, we could have been having totally different style in our benching. Asus brought their ..what the hell was name of this program ... oc program for users last year and it did not get warm welcome, if I say it kindly. The idea was actually good, but it is kind of too late to change how game is rolling.. or who knows in the end. Well, I have been very lucky in my OC career and that way I have been able to do almost all which can be done in this hobby. These years have been very enjoyable and I sure hope that upcoming years would bring more of these experiences. If I wouldn't have met all the people I have met so far, I would have stopped years a go. Thank you guys! I have been in HWbot rankings during 2007-2013 and I have been able to keep my top 5 target almost all the time (except sandy bridge fiasco) I will adapt to this new league which is coming soon and I am happy with it. Like Oliver would say now "Keep pushing it"
  4. Thanks everyone! WR is too far away, cause all I would need is more CPU MHz This mini pot is working very well, but it does not have much to do with new Inflection point EVO
  5. You need to learn efficiency on LN2 benching with the prices of our country Some people have made bad jokes about my comments of LN2 usage, but think about the prices: Best offer to fill my 34L dewar is 133€ If you use 2 of those in 1 month, you will need to pay ~3200€ / year. Pick 4 of those in a month and pay ~6400€. With list price 4 pickups in month would cost 13 000€/year. So keep joking about my 20liter LN2 results and welcome to Finland
  6. Is there some updated list who is coming to Cebit this year? First page of this thread does not seem to be up to date.. hopefully
  7. Here is my Fire Strike sample video with maximum details and 2560 x 1440 resolution:
  8. I heard what sort of end results there will be in this contest, so I put my scores up already Too bad that I did not get any candy money, but it was fun to bench IGP anyway. Good luck to the ones who are still keeping backups and congratulations for the winners!
  9. They don't need youporn if I look their trip plan Remember to use half body rubbers and check that they are girls for real Have fun!
  10. Nope.. using this mini pot from Niko and it seems to work fine New Inflection point is coming in few weeks
  11. Nice group of overclockers and a lot of nice hardware. Good Asrock!
  12. That will happen for sure. No problems Cheap VGA pot for old card. Might be doable. I will look in to it
  13. You will be happy soon with your SS or what ever you desire to use on your memory If there is something else you guys need, now it is time to ask for it!
  14. The new EKWB+SF3D OC pot will be almost identical and performance will be the same. We will try to improve some other things than the base structure. So, there is no more (original) old pots coming as there would be no point of selling them as they were.
  15. Kenny - Sure, if the order is large enough, DICE blender will be included Michal - Thanks! Allen and loud_sil3nc3 - That is already done.. very easy solution for it, so just wait and see Dualist - Yes, it is highly important for me and this will benefit everyone. I have been closing my eyes to some things previously, but can not do it anymore.
  16. Hi all! It is time to move on: I just wanted to do this thread, so I can inform you all about the latest changes in my pot production. My cooperation with polish overclocker ryba is over and the current products I have been selling since 2010 (SF3D OC Inflection point and Triple point) will not exist anymore in their previous form. There is still some undelivered samples, but after some time you can not buy the original ones anymore. New names and cooler designs will be out soon. There will be also completely new models, which I have not been able to produce before (GPU pot etc.), so those should be interesting choices for the users. This is very good thing for everyone who like high quality and good performance with decent price. Availability will be worldwide as there is already 43 countries included in to sales channel. Here is the news about the cooperation in EKWB webstite: EKWB + SF3D OC Check out the SF3D OC Facebook site, to get these news faster! So, stay tuned folks!
  17. Yes I have good sponsorship for some hardware, but this CPU, Memory and many other things I have to pay myself of course. This is just one part of my life, so it should not be too serious
  18. Thanks everyone for the support! Playing against company HQ benchers is always fun and beating them in this game is even more fun There is no point to stress about these scores at all, so why would I bother myself with backups
  19. As you can see, that result is on the rankings normally: http://hwbot.org/submission/2340838_ That result can be directly compared to results in the previous post and with same LOD 27 setting it is just completely OK. If that 170fps GT1 would be without LOD it would be bug as well and would be removed. This case is finished and 8pack can continue to hunt top spots just like before
  20. Moderators are taking down similar scores everyday in Hwbot. That is normal, when something in some particular score is not correct. Here is one comparison taken from crew section, so you can see yourself: "8pack = 5.64GHz 3930K / 1960MHz/1949MHz VGA (LOD 27) GT1= 169 (OK) GT2= 187 (Way too high for the clocks) Andre = 5.7GHz 3970X / 1855MHz/1900 VGA (LOD 27) GT1 = 174 (OK) GT2 = 173,78 (OK)" So this case have nothing to do with the 3DM01 Car low test, where you can have different type of runs. Mods will let you people know what is the outcome of this LOD 27 thing later.
