  1. you can try the settings I used on the HD4. I used 1.85v for that, this is very surprising for me b/c this memory i have is crap, on X58 when i reviewed it, it couldn't even run XMP(which is T2) lol, on most boards it will screenshot at 2400mhz, but on the HD4 i was surprised it went to 2600, but only good for 1m as of now. That is on air, these are the same timings I posted in my UP7 OC guide, but there is one thing not shown here which is in the UEFI, it is at the bottom of the memory timings page, there are two settings: read/write slew rate, they are a mixture of some things which really helps with samsung and PSC. On the HD4 it liked 5 for both read/write(usually keep them the same), but on the UP7 it liked 2-3. I ill try on the UD4H now see what i can get.
  2. PSC support on the HD4 is pretty good if you know the timings to set. Will try on the UD4H today.
  3. i haven't tried the board under LN2 before, but with F2H try slew rate of 2 under memory for PSC or try 3, it is a new options it should help with your PSC. also you did check the mode for AHCI/IDE under the UEFI, right?
  4. that looks really nice
  5. damn I am not sure why it doesn't work, I haven't run 3-way SLI before, maybe you try a re-install or older drivers perhaps? http://hwbot.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50599 also you are trying to run 3 PCI-E 3.0 cards at 3-way while in that thread they ran 3 PCI-E 2.0 cards at 3-way, they had more theoretical bandwidth, so it might not be very easy with PCI-E 3.0 GPUs.
  6. you have to use the SLI hack, as it isn't officially supported 3-way on Z77, you are running 8x/4x/4x
  7. i don't bench 3d okay.
  8. so get this i just checked and used 1.61.3 and it said will not work. 1.62 doesn't save at F7, i mean come on cpuz.
  9. hey to be honest I reuse GC-E you can do it when it warms up a bit and it works fine. Use the included tool and wipe it up into a flat plastic container, i use a pill box. I actually was able to go through customs with many packs of GC-Extreme when going to TW once, no issues.
  10. yea, but that is normal practice, they should lower the price tho.
  11. whats LOD?
  12. yea i was at 116.90 with cpuz before and it didn't register, then i redid and i got 116.95, so it wasn't too bad, just cost more LN2.
  13. yea i remember this issue from when i got my Z77 BCLk record, i had to redo b/c i was using a 1.60 version. But since then all my crap has been updated...
  14. maybe just validate for Intel and not AMD< I mean aren't the changes for AMD HTT swing?
  15. about to get drunk, happy new year!
  16. well hey that is the point of this thread. If your memory isn't working with XMP please do list the model and be specific and then even save a dump from CPUz and post it here as well, that way they can validate it at GBHQ.
  17. Hey you are the same guy who posted this in the help threads on OCN. Okay i think your issue is the ME firmware or the board itself by default setting your LN2 switch to 16x instead of not. IMO flash to a much earlier BIOS, like F3 or one of the F2 BETAs, hopefully back then the ME firmware revision was different. However try flashing back then with the switch in the position for not 16x, like boot in change your switch and then flash. Then flash to F50 or f5G or whatever, even try F5, but first flash back to F3(or earlier). I think all the F5s might have the same ME firmware and thus it isn't overwritten when the BIOS is flashed. I have seen the boards loop to 64 sometimes with the newer betas that aren't validated. If that doesn't work then you might want to RMA the board as somehow it was initially programmed with the switch in the wrong position. lol
  18. i also made this guide to OCing the UP7, provided some timings for those of you who have no idea: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?284359-Z77X-UP7-Performance-Review-and-CPU-and-Memory-Overclocking-Guide Those timings worked great for me with samsung and hynix. Also about slew setting, basically try above 1 for samsung and psc, some boards will like higher settings, and some BIOSes will also like higher settings so just try them out.
