  1. hey the windows 7 and 8 link on the blog don't work team au
  2. i am pretty sure you can just use the XP link for both? I thought that it how it was linked on facebook?
  3. Noted, it is fixed with BIOS B10, however will be in F BIOS soon. The max multi for the uncore is limited in those BIOSes so that means that using a divider will allow higher frequencies. But yea 1.00x is fixed with B10 as is EIST can now be disabled and OC multiplier with be able to be changed in windows with OC touch and GTL. Max uncore? Just high enough to not bottleneck the CPU. At around 4.5ghz on air you wont be able to run uncore at 1:1 with the CPU, you don't need that high uncore for unbottlenecking the CPU, it differs per CPU frequency. However remember on Ivy and sandy it was same as the CPU frequency, even though it doesn't need to be that high. You will prob max out around 4.7ghz stable on air with uncore, if you want more youc an increase ring voltage. VRIN protection stuff can be left on auto, max? Prob like 2.4-2.5v on air and I wouldn't use 3v on LN2 as it can kill CPUs, others love it tho and it can help with the CB. Turbo and power limits just leave auto on GBT boards, no need to change them, in fact i wouldn't. FIVR in put higher works well, you are right for about 1.8-1.9v, i like to just set 2v straight up for 1.3v and up, and 1.8v for 1.3v and below, however if you want your CPU to run cooler you can lower this input voltage, about 1W of power loss per 0.1v of FIVR delta being smaller. However FIVR input needs to be a certain distance(delta) from the output or else clock decreases, cold bug, and voltage droop will occur. Uncore at 4.5ghz I needed about 4ghz to unbottleneck on superpi, at 4.75ghz I needed 4.3ghz to unbottleneck in superpi, I would guess any bench that uses the cache would really take advantage of higher uncore, however you can easily see the difference between 4ghz and let's say 3.5ghz uncore at 4.5ghz cpu clock.
  4. hicookie posted updated OC Button driver and GTL too on facebook it should be working now: here is GTL 2.0: http://www.filedropper.com/gtl20 new OC button software 7 and 8 http://www.filedropper.com/ocbtnw78
  5. or just use 1.25x if you don't want to use that BIOS that is still 100bclk and 100 pcie
  6. damn once in TW it was me Dino and James with the craziest taxi driver ever, i think there is actually a video out there.... The guy was going way too fast and sadly i was in the front seat grabbing my seatbelt for my life. Worst part was the dude was driving his automatic like it was a manual hhahaha
  7. intel locks or unlocks them for user change depending on the platform.
  8. no they tend not too, just use B10 ATM, but id give F5i a try, i know F5b is basically between B03 and B09 so maybe f5i is better but might not have OC fixes until a later beta.
  9. so mpower max is like OC and Mpower is like ud5h?
  10. here i B10 kenny shoudl fix uncore and shoudl let you use multiplier buttons without EIST(that is what i was told, i havn't had a chance to test yet): http://www.mediafire.com/?7v1c3176s876v56 sorry haha i actually re answered your post lol LN2 switch is now named trigger, it is the left most switch. The board has label's you just goota look close lol.
  11. uncore multiplier change was fixed, should have a BIOS release soon to address this. Try to use 1.25x divider then uncore will increase.
  12. Kenny you have QE6S ES stepping, correct? That is why your vcore drops under load as Intel had an issue with earlier FIVR and they fixed this is QEH6 and all retail are based on QEH6 so they figured not much reason to go after a bypass for this, but maybe that will change. If you decrease the temperature the vcore will increase(i think Intel forgot that their CPU has a CB lol), but you can't get above ~1.63 with QE6S even with 2v set, QEH6 doesn't have this issue but they also don't seem to clock that high. ASUS(and then of course lol their sister "a" company) had found a way to bypass that and fix that issue, this doesn't really help any retail CPU much so GBT is still trying to decide what to do. With 1.00x divider the uncore frequencies seem locked down, try out the 1.25x and 1.67x divider and then change up uncore in f5b and other BIOS. This is has been fixed and a latest BIOS as of a few days ago. The requirement to use the whole windows mode in high resolution i think is based in the size of the font. I think you must use 1080P, and the iGPU cannot be used period. It gets on my nerves too, but there really isn't any feature in that full mode that isn't in the low resolution mode. Yea EIST enabled will drop the CPU multiplier down to 8x in windows after a while. But what is cool is that is if you use the trigger switch(slow mode) you can change the multiplier even when the trigger mode is engaged. Little tip for the changing the boot order of drives: You can select the boot order in windows mode and hold down ALT+arrow left and right to ove it left and right. I am pretty sure its ALT, but it might also be shift or tab, honestly i am kind of blanking.
  13. maybe help a tiny bit, you remember that setting we saw in early haswell memory OC leaks, tRDRD in GBT BIOS this is called tRRSR i find some increasing this it helps a few MHz(about 25-100mhz).
  14. no 12AM june2nd PST is actualyl in like 12 hours. NDA is up tho for tier1 sites.
  15. yup slews are magic on that board haha. Also different multipliers also apply different background timings that the end user can't change. Also different multipliers use either 200mhz or 266mhz and that can make a difference.
  16. damn dude then what I am going to computex for?!?! BTW why do they blur out everyone else? lol @ the guru3d,I wonder about costs... BTW I am guessing that CPUz world record list isn't auto updated???? Because the i7 top frequencies have changed, now 3770K at 7.2ghz(by John) should be there right under the 7.3...
  17. wow haha a site just dedicated to the parties of computex! haha epic
  18. totally dig that ECS one, i think they did gold much better, their shade of gold actually looks like gold. http://images.anandtech.com/doci/6970/1%20ECS%20Z87H3-AX%20Golden.png
  19. this almost makes landing at 6am on Monday worth it lol
  20. yea i thought as long as it is in the product name it is okay, but maybe not for that kind of thing.
