  1. :D Yeah, Realbench is gone (didn't notice that)... that surely explains some gold missing. Not all of it though, well I guess it is time to get some new cups on different HW. @mr\.paco huh, that is a lot. So 100 cups is no big deal after all
  2. I've noticed yesterday... now I have 532 gold cups but it was 632 a week ago (actually achievements counter still says that). I know rankings change all the time... so few cups here and there is no big deal. But 100 gold cups seems to be too much to just disappear. What could be the cause?
  3. Well, I understand that... although funny thing is "Server HW" is forbidden in general to keep things affordable despite many Xeons hold no performance advantage over regular i7 and in fact are significantly cheaper. Like E5-1650 being exactly the same as i7 3930k, only having different writing on the IHS. Also for example old Maxwell Titan X is not allowed while more expensive and faster GTX 1080 is ok.
  4. Thank you for the tips. According to several guides, there is working Z170 AHCI driver - so this should be good enough, no need for additional SATA controller. Probably I'll try my luck and go for Z170 Extreme4... Coz I don't feel like spending that much money for essentially cut-down boards (mATX, only 2 DDR4 slots), sure packed with overkill VRM and LN2 features, but these are of no use for me.
  5. Hi, I'm considering to get a Skylake for playing around and also some nice legacy 3DMark action... it seems s1151 is the last platform capable of running XP, so there is no point in further waiting. I did some research regarding XP and Z170 but I'm still not exactly sure what is needed. First let's list some features I'd like to have: 1. locked CPU OC (must have) 2. win XP working for 3D benchmarks while running overclocked locked Skylake. (must have) 3. SLI 8+8 (would be nice) 4. support for future Kaby Lake unlock i5/7 (would be nice) 5. be able to upgrade/downgrade bios in some relatively painless way when switching Kaby/Skylake Probably all Asus Maximus VIII should work (they have XP-compatible bios available) and most likely ASRock Z170 OCF / MOCF. The catch is all of these boards are a bit too much expensive for my taste and also overkill for air/water cooling. On the other hand Z170 Extreme4 or Asus Z170-A are much more affordable and should be well suited for my needs from HW point of view. The only question is - will XP run on either of them? As far as I know, XP needs SATA AHCI driver (should be no problem for any board) and ASMedia USB 3.x controller onboard, for which XP drivers do exist. Otherwise it would be impossible to connect anything different than USB mouse or keyboard. Asus Z170-A even has one classic PCI slot, so should be possible to put in some old USB 2.0 card, LAN... So is there something special in Asus ROG boards bios that makes them "XP compatible" or simply any board (like Z170-A or extreme4) will run it?
  6. SC3 Legacy - Stage 2 (3DM03) The rules states Socket 775, DDR2 and P4 65nm, 90nm, 130nm, 180nm. It seems almost everyone is using Pentium D, which is based on Netburst and everything.... but in fact is not a "Pentium 4" by name. I assume it is ok to use PD here?
  7. That's hardly a reason to remove points... Use different cooling then, air or water works 24/7
  8. Meh, socket 370 is just... slow My Xeon X5450 is ready Now it is time to look for decent P45 board as my modded GA-P35-DS3 isn't very well suited for quads OC.
  9. Looks interesting. Round 1 is the hardest for me... as I don't have a single pci-e quadro
  10. I don't think this is going to work... Let's say there are 15 GPU generations, so in order to bench them all you must own 15+ CPUs and similar amount of boards? That is even less affordable than single 6700k. Also running C2D @ LN2 might be more expensive than for example 6600k @ air, while being slower.
  11. I was trying to get my first score... but it wasn't as easy as I thought. All I get is this error message after pressing the submit button. Other HWBOT-integrated benchmarks works fine on this PC, so internet connection is not the issue.
  12. Please add: GeForce 6600 LE AGP Thx.
  13. Good work, looking forward to test the GTX 285 in the future. But there is bug of some kind affecting the legacy 2.3.4 executable when using winXP. At the moment I'm trying to run the new GPUPI on P4 Celeron + winXP SP3 32bit, the only thing I get is this error: ... is not a valid win32 application. GPUPI 2.2. works fine on this PC. Perhaps wrong compile settings, which prevents GPUPI 2.3.4 from running on XP?
  14. Isn't this considered "server HW"... and therefore not allowed for TC2016?
  15. So Xeon and Opteron not allowed even for dogpile stage?
  16. I'm not sure if I understand this "Average of 3 best" thing. Does it mean three different people must submit score of three different CPU/GPU in the selected stage + benchmark (one person each)? Or I can do all 3 by myself? The same question applies for "SC5: Dogpile". I can dig up 100+ CPU/GPU easily... but other team members are not much into Team cup benchmarking...
  17. Stage V (pifast) seems to be broken somehow - after clicking on the submit button, this message shows up: Oops. Something went wrong. We could blame this on you but it`s most likely our crappy coding skills. You could try again or nudge our developpers for fixing this.
  18. Please add: Asus A88XM-PLUS Thx.
  19. In user profile -> Points -> OC-ESPORTS points This is table of points gained in competitions in last 12 months. The problem is these points seems to be unrelated to the final standings. Let me show an example: Old school is best school bonus round http://oc-esports.io/#!/round/osibs_s2rb http://hwbot.org/user/havli/#Points I ended up on the 8th place... but in my profile there are 42 points and second place, which make no sense. Pretty much all competitions I've attended in the last year show better place in my profile than they should.
