Sorry, must have missed this topic. About the download link, you're right we are missing it in the app info page. Let me fix that. About the seperate rankings for dual / quad core systems, it would seem fair at first but wPrime was specifically developed to make use of multiple cores, and the community was looking for a benchtool that shows the real power of dual / quad cores. That's why I think splitting up the rankings would be bad... but it might be a neat feature if you could filter the hall of fame somehow by selecting the amount of cores.

No experience with it but it looks cool. Be sure to use a highspeed usbstick! I can imagine this can be a pain running on a cheap 7mb/s stick, but it must run pretty well on decent sticks (20 mb/s).

That's a good idea, but wouldn't it be an issue that we have no way to verify the cooling method? Ppl could say whatever they want because we can not check it (without pics of the bench setup). If it's purely informational i guess it doesn't matter.

The server is configured to update twice a day, but as we currently undergo some technical difficulties the calculation sometimes breaks down and it takes longer... we're working hard on both improving the algorithm and moving hwbot to a dedicated server.

Such a thing is being worked on atm, but not really implemented as a bot service, but using the signature template engine. eg instead of having a 600*70px sig with your info, you can make 600*1000px sigs with all kind of team info.

Nope, that's not a bad match, it's the CPUID of the processor. It's an AMD allright.... but I wouldn't get your hopes up, might be a quad platform opteron.

Yeah lol, it's funny that I don't remember me coding it that way. It's fair, I agree. I would really like to increase the points you get for getting a good score in a hw category. If you are the first out of 1000 others with your 7900GT, your should recieve much more than 10 points. It's not as if it were easy, it's damn hard. I think you should recieve at least 20 points, because it's equally hard to get in the top 10 with a 8800GTX (+- 20 to 25 points).

For each benchmark ranking, you can gain global hwboints only once, with the exception of videocard related benchmark rankings, where both in single as in sli points can be recieved. hardware points can be recieved once for each piece of hw you have, which is fair too. I honestly don't remember coding it that way, but it's pretty fair.

I agree, the idea is good, but having 29 different rankings would make things even more complicated for the first time hwbot user than it already is.

The hwbot version of wprime is not publicly available yet. The results that have been submitted are either with an older version, or belong to testers. Either way, they should be removed before we open the rankings.
