If you were holding an overclocking contest, which videocards would you consider? They have to be (in order of importance): - cheap. <50$ is a big plus, >100$ is way too pricey - overclockable. no point in holding a oc contest with videocards that won't oc - not total crap. we don't want sth pretty to look at while running the benchmarks, and they should offer at least satisfy the casual, undemanding gamer My thoughs: - 7100GS: dirt cheap (+- 35$), overclocks well - 7300GT DDR3: mediocre price (+- 70$), overclocks insane, can actually be used for gaming - 8500GT: a bit too pricey (+- 85$), overclocks well, dx10 capable

Yeah if you compare to other 520's it seems like a valid score. HT gets detected as dual core.

wPrime is all about calculation power, not memory afaik. It has it's benefits, but it does make it a bit less fun to tweak if you got great memory. : )

How did you manage to fake it?

Running on a good old XP1800+ Thoroughbred 'B' right now. This puppy has been running at 35% OC since day one... and has never crashed.

It's not a fake, it's just that he has a dual socket system (2x P3 933Mhz). The hwbot.org database supports dual socket for videocard (SLI/CF), but not for processors atm... so this is our fault. I'll check how much time I would need to enable multiple socket categories for processors.

Ok, so how come you had 7.98s before on pifast? You ran it manually instead of using the hexus.bat file? I've blocked that score but all the others are legit as far as i'm concerned. Do you haven to have a picture of the server? Not for verification, but for me.

Well, if it's 16-way the wPrime scores would be correct. I think the second score is held by an 8-way intel xeon processor. Our main concern is the PiFast score. It's a single-threaded algorithm so we don't see how you could get such an amazing score on a 'single' 4600+. The annoying thing about pifast is that it's easy to cheat: text output and no checksum. : ( Personally, I find your scores great and I don't doubt them, but we're going to get a lot of heat if we leave the pifast score unchallanged. Did you run the hexus.bat file of pifast?

Hi Joe, Some moderators here question the validity of your scores. For example, it is normal that an 8-way processor gives a huge performance increase in wprime (which is multithreaded), but it should give any boost in PiFast... which is the case in your submissions. They are no longer blocked at this moment but they still are under discussion. To be continued...
