  1. The HWBot Marketplace will be online in a few days We're looking for some new moderators now to moderate these subforums.
  2. I don't see a problem selling a new product e.g. if you got a HD7970 sealed from RMA and don't want to use it anymore - so no 7 day rule here. A higher quantity of new products would be a problem tho. Feel free to use heatware but we will not make it mandatory for now.
  3. We kind of accept open negotiations but no price bashing. If someone offers a 7 GHz Ivy for 1000$ o.n.o. (or near offer) I don't want to see postings like "hey this CPU is available for 300$ boxed and new". Negotiations like "what about 950$?" are okay tho. It keeps the value of the hardware much more transparent. You can still PM a seller and tell if it's 500$ overpriced. I'm not realy a friend of this kind of selling. This is kind of like bidding on ebay which we do not want to see on forums. Therefor we keep it as fixed price. You can start your offer with the fixed price of 85 and lower it within few days if you can not find a buyer.
  4. I agree on the price part. Fixed it in the rules (ยง12) Normally the vBulletin search engine does not include the signature in the results so if you're searching for HD7970 it will only display postings which also include this item. It will include the complete thread tho - not only the first post.
  5. 1. added to rules 2. added to rules 3. added to rules 4. added to rules I'd rather have the conversations in the thread itself as it keeps the deal more transparent. Also editing the first post keeps the thread clearer. Mods can see changes anyway if there would be any problems. Once the rules are final I will create a topic which will include all required information highlighted as example. Should be pretty easy for everybody then to follow the rules edit: current rules here: http://hwbot.org/forum/showpost.php?p=222761&postcount=85
  6. I quickly created some rules based on different forums to cover the most important points. Anything important missing? Mind that we don't have to cover every little thing. If there is a wrong topic we can always just delete it. edit: find the current version here: http://hwbot.org/forum/showpost.php?p=222708&postcount=75
  7. So it would be better to have a moderated marketplace
  8. Both is fine to me Waiting for PJ to post the word with two letters. And I'm not waiting for the "no"
  9. let's push this I'd suggest to create two sub-forums: - Wanted - For sale Pretty much like on XS. The question is how/whether we set up rules. There are two different solutions: 1. No rules. Users can sell their stuff and are responsible for everything themselfs. Act with a healthy mistrust and maybe ask for references or a copy of the ID-card. 2. We set up rules and moderate the forums. As long as we don't have several hundred threads per day I'm fine moderating this section. No silly and annoying rules but I prefer some "light rules" like on XS. A picture with nickname and date would be the most important rule for me as this keeps scammers away pretty well. Regardless which way we go it would be awesome to have a kind of rating system like on other forums. So you can evaluate the trade afterwards - pretty much like on ebay. So?
  10. I'm also mod on PCGH Forums market place and therefor did a lot of stuff like that. Would moderate the FS section as I'd also like to see a fs section on here. I agree on IMOG to do trades on your own risk tho. Therefore HWBot is not responsible for anything. Everybody should act with a healthy suspicion. If a offer is too good to be true - stay away. Get copies of ID-cards and stuff like that. Not too hard PJ is there some kind of valuations system available here? Some forums use this to evaluate trades. Easy to spot good traders then. edit: Maybe we should continue the discussion here: http://hwbot.org/forum/showthread.php?t=55319
  11. Thanks for uploading this video, Christian: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=feUZBoSWqF4 Seems legit or?
  12. The question is always: Are we talking about hardware or global points? Like I already said earlier in this thread it would be very bad for our hardware masters to disable hardware points for a benchmark which used to recieve points in the past. Global points - fine. But don't ruin the work of guys who spent months and years with it
  13. This red gift ribbon just perfects the whole thread
  14. Nice stuff Cool pics. Thanks for sharing.
  15. Was a very cool event and a pleasure to meet the AF guys once again Hope we'll have more events like that in future.
  16. It's pretty obvious. This is a CPU-Z without ES: Now compare to your CPU-Z window where I can clearly see the "(" at the end And a comparison of the position to be 100% sure:
  17. I had a similar issue but with Nvidia cards. D3D Overrider solved it for me. I'm not so much into ATI tho
