Just a heads up to people who are just interested in the second part of the contest: make sure to qualify for the semi-final by passing through the qualifier phase first!

HD7000 series have an issue with BCLK and gen3 mode because of the AMD pcie controller afaik. On the 7970 it's usually hit and miss with bclk over 103MHz - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Can you fix pcie to gen2 qnd use that instead? Doubt the card needs gen3 anyway

So it still doesn't work. I'll check the code again then. FYI, whenever you contacted someone to help you, 12. I always looked at the problem and tried to fix it. Whether it is via Neoforce, Slamms, Christian or Xtreme Addict. It is usually easier to contact directly because it takes a hile to debug if there are intermediators. Sigh ... Haven't tested it that much in depth, but so far it scales with memory enough to need high frequency to get the top scores. Just as a reminder: this is not a benchmark designed for competitive overclocking. It's designed as a quick performance indication to be uploaded along with an OC profile. The benchmark rankings are just another way to have fun with XTU .

I think everyone has horror stories about all vendors. That MSI is not an exception is not really a surprise. Asus has their Maximus V extreme sudden death story, Gigabyte that 1156 socket burn, Asrock with the I think the community just tends to bash MSI or sensationalize their failure more than other brands. Perhaps because the relations with HQ are less tight than with other companies? Or because there's not really a full-time in-house active overclocker there?
