  5. Try to run at -20°C or so. Most of the chips I've tested cannot handle cold very well. Especially the IMC tends to dislike it.
  6. It's, imho, more likely that you just found two similarly clocking chips than your board having a clock wall.
  7. Well, technically disabling cores is always allowed. It's just that you will always compete in the category with the stock cores. For example: you are perfectly allowed to disabled 5 of the 6 cores of your 1090T Thuban CPU, but you will always compete against those who have all cores enabled.
  8. Hey all, Just a heads-up for those interested. In the coming months, we'll be exploring the possibilities and potential problems with team-based competitions. For the HWBOT OC Challenges, we've switched to a team-based competition style a while back and, in my opinion, it seems to go quite well. In the near future, we'll also be introducing partners to this competition format and see how we can add prizes into the mix. The main idea for these team-based competitions with prizes is to give team captains more tools to promote their team's overclocking activities on the local forum. For instance, you could arrange one of the team prizes to go to a lucky draw on your forum or give it to whoever comes up with the most funny "cheer-on-video". Perhaps even to the person with the largest team logo tatooed on their bottom ... it's upto you to decide. In any case, the idea is to promote the OC team as well as to give the local OC legends an extra e-credibility boost by giving more exposure and weight to their efforts in the team competition . Of course we hope everything goes smooth from the first comp, but sadly enough that's not how life usually works. Of course, all the feedback is welcome! Stay tuned!
  9. Bugs are added to buglist. To be fixed asap.
  10. I don't think there will be new BIOSes with structural improvements. Maybe a general update once in a while, but that'll be it.
  11. Nvidia doesn't have the option in the driver ...

  13. Seriously, why didn't we just all embrace PhysX for Vantage . Nowadays, Vantage is limited by CPU in both the GPU tests and the CPU tests. If we would've allowed PhysX for the CPU test, at least it would be more GPU-bound than anything else. Surely, someone would've figured out how to use PhysX on ATI so the playing field was level again.
  14. Nice score. Too bad you always complain about the system when you submit a score. It really takes away the focus from the nice result ...
  15. Ya, it's more a personal choice (unless some really clear cases like working for vendor and have to set results for marketing)
  16. Lol. SF3D will have to watch out for new Sergio
  17. It seems that the submissions are not linked to a team. Weird bug, will look into it tomorrow.
  18. After the nice week at CeBIT, I think I want to go to Computex. Anyone else up for it?
  19. Street Fighter IV, I think. I also think Virtu MVP doesn't work with multiple graphics card. So, only for 1x GPU we'd need an additional Virtu category. The main issue is that we don't know anything about the lifetime of this technology. If it goes the same way like Hydra (poor drivers), it's a problem I think.
  20. Hiwa, thanks again for introducing the Persian restaurant! SO GOOD FOOD! :ws: (also please say thanks to Shadi! )
  21. There's something else in the pipeline, though ...
