  1. Long thread, didn't read all the replies. The first post makes 100% sense. This is an issue related to the minimum points for UGP and has been reported before. In our buglist, we have a task to address this with a small finetuning of the UGP in exotic categories. http://bugs.hwbot.org/browse/HWBOT-694 Not sure when it will be actually in production.
  2. Wait a second. To be awesome at overclocking, I need to move to Turkmenistan, Turkestan or Tajikistan? You guys are confusing me. I WANT TO HAVE MORE SKILL!! Tell me how to do it!
  3. How did your girlfriend/wife react when you said "honey, i need a new car for LN2 transportation" ?
  4. Tesselation has different levels, so trying to spot a 'tuned' one would turn into a complete witchhunt. You might find it weak, but for the people who have to moderate the results it's a big issue.
  5. The mistake is mostly of practical nature, not a policy for the sake of the policy. We asked Futuremark for help, but there was no response.
  6. Attending! Gonna book my flights this weekend; there are direct ones from Paris which are <14h flying! About €800, though, so not super-cheap (but also not insanely expensive either). Anyone else going?
  7. A local news site also said there was no difference in OC with and without the reactor. They were testing on air too.
  8. Lol 'faked'

  10. After reading the thread and seeing the actual results, I could no longer resist. Ordered two days ago, delivered just now! Packaging of the EVBot is pretty nice. Makes you feel good about the purchase.
  11. Happy Birthday!
  12. Maybe you can ask him to fix your broken setups too ...
  13. "Use 1 videocard core(s) in total." (it's on the competition benchmark stage page)
  14. Actually, from what I've heard it's just a matter of sample size. E0 seems better because people have tested more E0 samples than E1 samples. I was told a 'random' E1 is better than a 'random' E0. It's just that if you only have 5x E1 to test and 500x E0 ... you beat the chance game .

  16. It says "error in computation" which means the calculation was not completed correctly.
  17. Just found this news on a local site called Hardware.info (http://nl.hardware.info/nieuws/26951/intel-core-i7-3770k-verbreekt-superpi-records) Original link: http://www.nordichardware.com/news/79-overclocking/45573-intel-ivy-bridge-runs-superpi-i-at-nearly-7-ghz-exclusive.html :woot:
  18. This thread: http://hwbot.org/forum/showthread.php?t=37576 And some others
  19. I was told just today that the cards were shipped and should be in shops one of these days (2 days max).
  20. 1) 7970 Lightning is allowed. They should be in stores today or tomorrow 2) 7870s should also be in the stores already. The winning team of each stage gets 3 boards to distribute to members (Team Captain can decide how to do this). Just like the HWBOT OC Challenges, only one score is needed to complete the team score. So, if you submit a score with your 7970, you submitted 'for the team'.
  21. Just a heads-up for anyone who has submissions that aren't getting points. There seems to be a bug in the engine that stops certain submissions from getting points. We've scheduled this bug for fixing in our current development sprint. To be fixed asap. Sorry for the inconvenience. http://bugs.hwbot.org/browse/HWBOT-729
  22. There were some in another thread too, I think
