Heads up. In the staff forum we now have a subforum dedicated to the rules update. Just posting so you know we're actually working on it.

The query for the team rankings is too stressful, sadly enough. If we update our servers, we can up recalculation speed again.

I re-read and still don't see the issue. 1) We don't have to care about how many teams participate => we can make an old-school competition with 5 participants, no problem. 2) Prefer 'fun 20-team' contest over 'boring 30-team' contest => as long as it's fun, we don't have to care about the quantity of participating teams. So, we can have as much legacy stages as we want. If there's only 5 teams competiting, that's fine for us. As long as it's fun for those participating, it's all good.

So, - open launcher - start benchmark - benchmark finishes - close aquamark - no score reading? You have to manually close the benchmark.

It used to update every hour, but it was slowing down the site too much.

Moved scores, recalculated rankings, deleted categories. No unforeseen problems. Everything went better than expected.

In that case, bitching about the Untouchable not being in retail won't help. Making your own might (PS: aside from KP I don't think any of the Pro League members are expected (job description) to set any records. Not even Hicookie or NickShih. Most of the people who work in the industry just OC because it's fun and their results are picked up by marketing because it's something that can be used. Not because it's something that is really frigging important.)

Okay, finally figured it our. I was right from the beginning except for the unlocking part. So, you can use any amount of sockets, but can't unlock your CPU. The reason is rather technical. Simply said: unlocking only works for CPU-based benchmarks.
