  1. To clarify: the XTU team validates functionality with the last 3 platforms for each major release. This does not mean that older platforms are not supported, it just means that functionality is not validated. The overclocking interface for Intel CPUs has been standardized a lot since Sandy Bridge compared to older generations of hardware. This helps for better legacy compatibility
  2. Yes, we saw irregularities in the submissions of the group that also posted publicly. Those scores were removed.
  3. The term "sensationalist" refers to the people who made a public how-to, not anyone in this thread voicing their opinion or concerns. Funny you took it personally though.
  4. There is no inconsistency. X265 points were restored when we found a way to 1) spot cheated submissions and 2) the developer was able to identify a fix quickly. This is also the case for XTU. The difference between both cases is that for XTU we were able to start moving BEFORE it went public. I was in touch with Intel the day we received the news and in a call a couple days later was reassured a new version was in the works that addresses the issue. For HWBOT Prime this is sadly not the case. (Note: after we found a way to spot the X265 cheats, the staff went through a whole lot of submissions only to find 1 person had been doing this) Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  5. Just to make this clear as it seems people are riling each other up in this thread: there is no indication of any significant amount of cheating in XTU (yes, we could spot irregularities in the cheated submissions) We will NOT remove points for the >99.999% who play by the rules because of actions of the <0.001%. I also want to say thanks to @RULE for bringing the problem to our attention prior to it going public. It gave us a much needed head start to address the problem before the sensationalists came along. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  6. download It is expected that this version will become mandatory in the coming days with previous versions to be disallowed
  7. Great contest everyone! Also happy to see some new faces Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  8. Hi All, As you know from another thread: the event in China was postponed from November to April next year. This means we would have one less World Tour event than planned. A couple of APAC overclockers reached out and asked if we were going to host a replacement event in order to have a chance to qualify for the OCWC in December. So, We are currently looking to host a replacement event in Taipei in the weekend of October 22-23. We are working as fast as possible to confirm the plan and will update this thread in case it all goes through. Just wanted to give a quick heads-up
  9. Livestream is available for those who want to follow the contest
  10. Please stay on topic, guys. This is a sensible topic and definitely worth exchanging thoughts over.
  11. I appreciate you raising this issue, @Ace123. I'm keeping an eye on this thread to see where the opinions lead ...
  12. I already spoke with some people about the announcement that GC Play in China has been moved to 2018. This means that the event will not be included in the 2017 World Tour. We are looking for a replacement event in APAC region for the OCWC Qualifier. To be updated.
  13. In case you need to prepare for something .... XTU 6.4.1.7 XTU 6.4.1.8 :celebration:
  14. I checked the database and it seems your XTU datafile does not contain any CPU information (hence why it's marked as engineering sample) Did you do anything special to disable system information detection?
