  1. Instead of all moving to Gigabyte we should push Asus to make a proper bios
  2. From ryba's and mine testing it looks like MSI < ASUS < Gigabyte in '01, and the same in pi 32m, but with less difference between Gigabyte and Asus. I tried the UD7 for a brief moment, but could not bare its retarded, laggy BIOS... Also, looks like Intel is slower than Asus but faster than MSI, and it doesn't have an EFI bios.
  3. You can't get Brazos boards anywhere except maybe Taiwan, and AMD is holding press samples until a new driver comes.
  4. No, until they fix it and fix the ORB. BTW, check out PCMark05 validation links - most of them don't display subtest scores now.
  5. Thank you and thanks to Benchtec for motivation Not maxed yet of course, CPU is a dud.
  6. Yes for mobo info on submission page, yes for CPU-Z mobo tab on selected benchmarks. I don't think we need mobo tab for CPU-Z, 3DMark Vantage, 3DMark06... just for SuperPi and maybe 3dm01.
  7. I guess the problem is with core count getting more and more blurred. HT is an investment in die area that does not increase core count but increases performance. Next gen AMD CPUs have something opposite - decrease of die area (per 2 cores) enabling higher core counts. Core count based rankings will be even more Intel-biased then, unless we count bulldozer modules as cores (which is wrong) or logical cores as cores (which is also wrong) or base our rankings on thread count instead of core count (which will unleash a storm of whining and outrage).
  8. I knew you would ask, so I included an ORB link It's 154 MB/s. I didn't have the problems you guys had, I was getting such high scores consistently. Maybe it's because I used a dedicated RAID controller instead of SB?
  9. Thanks guys I haven't had that much fun with overclocking since a looong time. Judging by how much power was left in my setup I was sure someone would pull a 17k backup in the last minutes....
  10. Another compo with entry cost higher than the best prize. <goes back to his Sempron 140 rig>
  11. RemiKo is using a Vertex 2 PRO drive - this is not your regular Vertex 2. It's much more expensive and much faster. I tried regular Vertex 2 60 GB - it did around 90 MB/s in XP Startup.
  12. And what will prevent them from pretending it's a legit result with a random piece of hardware and submitting it in amateur league? It smells like another F1OC fail.
  13. Thanks RB A line was added to profile display which broke my previous implementation: But I set .linkback to display=none in css and it's all back to normal. Very handy to have all elements in classes, there's a lot of room for customization.
  14. Thanks rb I hacked together a quick implementation: http://teampclab.pl/
  15. Yes - mostly because L1 and L2 caches run at core speed
  16. It can do much more, but Regor IMC is holding me back: http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1011665_g.foyle_maxxmem_ddr3_875_marks
