Thanks guys. Will try moar next time

WOW, crazy gpu pot. What kind of temps you getting or is CB in the way ?

This scoring system is looking worse and worse the more I look at it. A 6700k running at STOCK speeds is beating out my 6600k that is at 4.9GHz. The fact that they are ignoring hyper threading and dividing scores by the amount of physical cores is screwing over some processors. I understand it is hard to factor in hyper threading, but if you are willing to add a system to even the playing field than it should actually even the playing field rather than send every 6700k to the top scores without them even trying. Im pretty sure all but one or two 6700k processors are in the top 15, with the entire top 10 being 6700k processors. That is just messed up, and it needs to change.
I think you are looking at this all wrong, which is understandable because you are a newb. If you break the ambient comp down it is very possible to win the entire thing with an i3 and only subbing in 2 of 3 stages. They actually did a good job when taking everything into consideration, this would have been a dream comp when I was an Ambient OC'r not long ago. Maybe you bought hardware that was too expensive for this contest.

Tried with a different cpu (6320k) and the board booted right up
The 6700k looks perfectly flat, pcb doesn't seem warped. Figure I'll reinstall mei from the bios menu. Hoping the cpu's not damaged
Any ideas?
Not able to follow/understand nachtfalke..."use in the socket center were the square hole are and the MLCC´s cap are a small pice of armaflex , help me alot now to avoid this issue"?
Update: Should I be using the 121B (which is already on the board) or 131 bios?
He was talking about putting piece of Armaflex in middle of cpu socket. Here you can see I poured in let for same effect.

Yea, i am glad, the CPU don't need that much. And it is all @air.
1.25 & 1.30 are the sweet spot for me, but sometime as high as 1.35v on both can help. Really nice that it's all air and rare to find ones that are easy to handle

Noctua ftw, oh and PALADDINSANE ftw also. Good work man !

1.4v @ 4800 is a very bad bin imho, all the cpus I got from Caseking were around 1.33-1.35v @ 4.8 GHz, better don't show the box in public. With Tapakah rejects which do 1.4 @ 4.8 GHz we don't even try on ln2...
Why not try 1.4v @ 4800 air bin on lin, Roman obviously found at least one gem so there's probably more ? Seems like a smart idea when he sold it for $1200+ and those rejects go for $450 give or take
EDIT sorry Gunny just realised this was for sale post, lmk if i should delete

Thanks l0ud. Gave it a shot...no go
Still same codes.
I've had similar things happen to me, usually happens to me from switching mounts. I think it's because of all the changes in pressure and temps can cause issues. My pot is heavy (kpe f1ee dark), my SS is hart to tell how tight it is, then I also use water occasionally and air for quick tests using 3 different backplates. I just remove cpu hold down and start from scratch rebuilding. I've noticed if just the 3 standard torx screws are too tight my board will curve, add a heavy pot or a lot of pressure and the pcb is leterally being pulled up... away from the cpu socket. SKL pcb is so weak that it just needs to be slightly askew to cause problems

Okay, who's winning DonationMark. I see Splave put up some monster numbers but was using an old version of SystemInfo. . . lol
-
a 6700k would be divided by 4 cores not 8 since only 4 are considered physical, 6800k and 6850k is 6, 6900k is 8, and last but not least in price we have the 6950X coming in at 10.

Someone knows what he's doing, good work !

Is Alex@Ro's mother playing with her son's hardware again ? Gotta remember cpu-z tabs in screenshot. When in doubt open every monitoring tab you got or can get

please 1 suggestion to improve m8e for next board. Please make 24pin connector looser fitting. Like exactly the x99 champion connector was perfect. I feel like I am going to damage my board eventually. It's sooo tight. But I love the board otherwise, its amazing.
These work to solve tight 24pin syndrome for me

@MTC ?
- VRM is not suitable for XOC but it is 100% enough for the current comp.
- Z170I GAMING PRO AC is an entry level GAMING motherboard and therefore it is much less convenient to OC than XPOWER as it don't have any buttons, debug led or clockgen (need to Clear CMOS/Discharge MB after each memory training fail to reset Intel ME otherwise BCLK stay locked), however it can run memory at higher frequencies and tighter timings.

VRM suitable/not suitable for Stage 3 GB3 All Out ?
"WARNING: Post at 12 11 11 takes FOREVER!"
It does on all boards I've tried

No hardmod for MPower VRM board, lol. This would be killer for Comp

Yay, good work Marc JlB 0053 . hope youtube has stream ready for tomorrow. Good OC TV show too with you and my old partner in crime Buildzoid, the show needs good guests for live Q and A , with both you guys, the skillsets are mostly covered. . . From, Mods and Tweaks ! ie AMD Apu's/Budget benching to Intel HEDT/TitanX Jen-Hsun jacket funding !

@Sam ,you done anymore test with this little board ,Z170I GAMING PRO AC (ITX) it's available here in au and pretty cheap just not seen much results around from it
I've been thinking the same, Sam tells me the vrm is not OC centric and therefor never took her cold

All better now
Pushing it, you must keep !

Are you trying to run .bat files when you get this message or just trying to run Hack00.exe ?
- run soft.bat to update your gputweakit software to allow higher voltage
- run stock.bat to return the firmware to original setting
- run fwup1.bat to update firmware to higher voltage settings
-
Nice one ActuallyHardcore

Yay, you made some points

Haha, nice. it's 419 got a minute ? Good dice work bro

What mem timings should look like for a "742" ! Good work man
