Thanks, I got messages as well, the 48 hour and the countdown need fix then, good you two did clarification P.S. Have fun, I am looking forward to revamp of this competition series
-
So the submission window is not open? What do you complain about then? I just checked the rules and it says 6-7 so it cannot work P.S. If you can´t submit at due date, leave a note, and nice heads up anyway, this needs clarification bc people thought 48 hours, seems 24 when it is 12-12 UTC from 6th to 7th

Hola, up for sale are two cpus and a B-die gskill kit, all working, on the cpus I did upload some results to hwbot database so you can check there 1. Yes, result got reported, we will check and discuss it, I will not decide this alone, so my personal opinion is secondary to my tasks -

This reminds me very much of 01 a couple of years ago when someone posted enormous results bc he found a tweak and all wanted him to get hung because of cheating, he shared the tweak and it was legit, everyone used it then and his weeks of work were not of advantage for him. To make it short, I see no reason this result should get blocked from my view, it only shows that lots of people today forgot how to tweak and don´t even bother to test themselves Disclaimer: This is my personal opinion and I do not speak for any organization this time -
Pieter is on the road, CN unavailable, can be until monday, but I hope it works faster, so that it is clear asap

The Old School 2016 Round 2 Discussion Thread
websmile replied to macsbeach98's topic in HWBOT Competitions
I honestly don´t remember there ever was the chance to get a validation link, I just tested and nothing happened after I submitted to maxpi net - We will discuss this and if there is no way to get this verification link we will skip the link obligation -
I made a task, it might get divided by cores, we will see - but the stages are mixed, we have also 32m for example which is definitely much better for non 2011

Wrongsair - let´s see what they can do - good luck

Challenger 2016 Div VII Round 1 Discussion
websmile replied to websmile's topic in HWBOT Competitions
I already created a task on this question, the main worry for me is that this is in fact not only limited to mobile cpu adapters, there are 775 cpu to 478 adapters for example and also for opposite, and there might be multiple options to use 478 cpus on other boards as well. This might change the intention of old school benching to a material battle with big spending, which was not intended -

websmile replied to websmile's topic in HWBOT Competitions
I think I will give the advice to ban this Seriously, I think adapters are allowed (because it states 478 COU, not board), but will ask once more before we all spend millions on these and then anger gets big -
Rauf - GeForce GTX 480 @ 900/1000MHz - 73099 marks 3DMark05
websmile replied to Xtreme Addict's topic in Result Discussions
05 is becoming a cpu benchmark^^ - good run -
Yes, I see no change at general rules for challenger divisions, so it should be ok
-
We discuss this, personally I would prefer this stage divided by cores and cinebench full out not divided, this would level things between 2011 and other platforms. Will keep you updated, but you can bench anyway until this is decided, Franco

GIGABYTE Z170-Winter OC Challenge Extreme 4 Cores
websmile replied to websmile's topic in HWBOT Competitions
5000 for xtu at screenshot or less, please, and 5ghz at xtu result shown - and yes, 6600k competes with 6700k or in general, four core, no matter if with ht or not are the deal. You can also use non K chip, but for xtu this makes no sense -
Ivy-e and Haswell-e are allowed, I7 is limit

Like Rasparthe said, limit is on cpu and videocard, I see no reason why adpaters should not be allowed
