ROG OCS Team Edition: Team can be created for the occasion
websmile replied to rtsurfer's topic in HWBOT Competitions
Will try to implement some more - seriously, feedback is welcome, simply say what you don´t like, at least for upcoming comps we need opinions. This is a new concept, we will all have to see how it will work -
ROG OCS Team Edition: Team can be created for the occasion

On stage 2, we will reconsider this, I thought I already made similar comment. Nontheless, rules will be same for all on stage 5, the general rules answer your question, asus vga only -

There are three more rounds incoming... no winner here atm -
I have personally no problem if you use older cpuz for this oldschool round, but I would recommend you try to fix it nontheless (way to try is described above). At competitions for big prizes or team and country cup on which the cpuz version is mandatory you will not be able to participate in the future if you can´t slove the problem..

What a coincindence, we both won the lucky draw - and I did not even submit
-
Have you tried to disable dmi detection for example at the ini? Sometimes conflicts there can cause this (drivers etc), maybe you try to disable some detections one by one to find the problem, it might help you to get correct detection nontheless, not all is necessary what is enabled at cpuz detection process

Saves me time and trouble, lucky draw for prizes is better in hands of vendor who sponsors this than at staff when guys related to hwbot might participate. This is also the reason I cannot particpate at competitions like these, I assume you can guess why^^

The line between ambient water and chilled/cold
websmile replied to Elkim's topic in League Discussions
I entered hwbot when something like an enthusiast league didn´t exist. Everyone was responsible for his results, they did depend on cooling of course, and up to a certain amount on skills. Now at enthusiast league they mainly depend on how you bend the rules... this problem is not solvable, and for everyone we catch at chilling ten new guys start to do the same. It is tiresome to fight windmills, and this is main reason why I don´t contribute to this thread, it is something you cannot solve at an online league. Imho even the NSA would fail at making this work^^ -
Contact gigabyte and ask them - I am sure a multi million dollar business will jump at your command^^

Yes, results get checked, Lucky draw usually gets announced at main page news

Nope, Alex cpu^^ -
Me :3 - no announcement yet, no idea when it will be drawn, first we need to confirm winners

Bundles possible on the vgas, just in case someone thinks about this
-
No - you are elite if you submit with these for points to take advantage of your access to current gen ES. You can stay at other leagues if you submit current gen ES with points disabled
-
Can you delete your submission?
websmile replied to xRaDeRx1's topic in Submission & member moderation
Yes, on the right to the submission you should see the options dit and delete, if you can´t find them simply post links, will help then -
Hi and welcome unlocking BIOS options via editing should be ok, it is risky business though. P.S. As long as you only unlock features or improve oc, this is ok, what of course is not ok is changing settings that might trick the system with stuff like timers
-
We usually do not enforce es rules on memory unless the manufacturer wants this by saying es in spd. Gskill does not for example, the samples which they send have retail spd. Older gen ES can be used for points without being elite league unless it is unreleased hardware, if you buy a current generation es from ebay this is your problem (on Skylake this would depend on status we give it, same socket but older generation than KBL), because of the legal status of cpu enginerring samples we do not allow trading these on hwbot btw. Abyway, we talk about sponsorship by hardware manufacturers here, not about old gen bought from ebay

Well, delid would improve this and watercooling, but when I see 1,6-1,75v submissions on water I really start to think some things at enthusiast league are weird^^ -
First of all, you made the decision to move to extreme league. If you use cooling methods that apply to extreme league like LN2, cascade or similar stuff, this is your decision and not hwbots - so don´t put your responsibility on others. Second point - if you want your results with ES to be seen with points, move to elite league. No one blocks your results if you get a normal board from time to time, no one is moved to elite because he gets one vga. But if you are in the priviledged situation to get current generation engineering samples like cpus obviously regularly, you have a clear advantage over real little guys who pay for their hardware, which you do not do obviously. Feel free to ask for a move to elite and your "problem" is solved
