shar00750 Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Hello everyone, Does anyone know what the code 00 means on asus z170 gene. Everything was fine until I put dry ice on card and processor. At first the board lights up but there was no post and get code 99 on board. I took the card and put another card with air cooling Then I received a Code 00. I took apart everything, heated with a dryer, and put air cooling but still code 00. is it the cpu or board ? Quote
Administrators websmile Posted June 17, 2016 Administrators Posted June 17, 2016 Normally dead cpu. Check socket Pins, remove battery for an hour and make clear cmos. If the problem remains, buy a celeron or lend it to check P.S. I moved the thread to Extreme OC - this is not off topic Quote
TASOS Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 The odds , show a farewell to the cpu Most probably Quote
shar00750 Posted June 17, 2016 Author Posted June 17, 2016 (edited) Thanks for the quick response. I'll check over all pins. What could be the reason it happened ? The processor only a month old, and already has overclock with dry ice and everything was fine. i forgot thet i have 6320 - i can check if the board ok. Edited June 17, 2016 by shar00750 Quote
Radi Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 maybe it's only the board . i see many time on asus 00 . all the time it was the board Quote
shar00750 Posted June 17, 2016 Author Posted June 17, 2016 I checked with I3-6320 and everything work- board ok, 6700K dead Quote

shar00750 Posted June 18, 2016 Author Posted June 18, 2016 The voltag was low (1.5) and i used plastidip Sent from my Lenovo S960 using Tapatalk Quote
TheGamingBarrel Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 The voltag was low (1.5) and i used plastidip Sent from my Lenovo S960 using Tapatalk Here is a quote from Vivi "You can never use too much insulation." After having used not enough, I agree, its a good idea just practicing insulation so that when it comes to the real thing you dont have to worry. Quote
shar00750 Posted June 28, 2016 Author Posted June 28, 2016 Luckily, the store agreed to replace my processor. Although they knew that the processor has been delid. The seller asked me to arrange well the processor Making it impossible to identify the processor has been delid. They called today and told me to come take a new processor. Quote

I recommend resealing it, the store will like it because then it wont move at all and it will go through Intel checks much faster, that is if they even look at it. Quote
