Is this board really so weak compared to Gigabyte and Biostar in terms of fsb overclocking or is it just shadowed by REX being almost as expensive?

I don't think it differs from other ASUS P45 boards in terms of FSB. And those boards were not famous for their FSB capabilities, so..

I had one of these long ago. IMC-wise it stopped around 900 with 2x2GB.

I had one in the age of 775 and my E8400 stopped at FSB 550 Mhz. I am not 100% sure it was the mb fault.

REX is x48.

I agree that Asus P45's are not amazing for FSB clocks, My P5Q3 DLX & P5Q-E top out around 600MHz for air valid and closer to 580-590 for benching. Some can be good for 630+ but those ones seem to be much more uncommon.

Not to mention that P45 DDR3 boards can only do 2T and not 1T like the X38/48 boards. I much prefer using my P5E3 DLX since it can do about the same FSB on air but is usually faster.

I have also bought one yesterday. It is 620 fsb stable 1:1 but won't go higher than 1600 dram no matter what. Will sell it asap.
