Omg no holes? Doesn't matter the otterauge xtreme rev.4 stands on the cpu with his own weight - no problem :D

But not so good for my new cascade - it seems I'll have some sleepless nights to figure out how to mount it properly

For what I can see, there are 4 holes, and the backplate passes through them.

But, since on the upper side of the mobo there is the socket, maybe we can unmount the socket retention system by taking out those 4 Torx screws, pulling out even the backplate and voilà: we have 4 holes.

Of course, we would have to be careful when installing a cpu because there will be no retention system, but hey I think that's a problem we could manage without destroying all the pins.

Am I saying something wrong or that could be a way?

Sam OCZ - i dont know, nothing is under

SoF - i was wrong, there are holes but sealed by the rubber, but its possible to puncture them

Just figure out the threading on the retention mechanism holes for the stock cooling and use those holes to mount pots to LGA2011. Will have to take a look at it in the future but I'm sure there's a way we can mount pots to that thing.

I run 5ghz 6C/12T vcore 1.45 volt with memory 2133 on air cooling chip very hot idle around 57c and load more than 70c... room temp 19c. K|NGP|N F1 EE LGA 1366 working perfect on the board.
