l0ud_sil3nc3
GOOD result!! But with 3-4-5 or 6 core, walls at lower frequencies? thanks man, however I think it needs more cold/volts I will be doing more testing, but 56X100 would not boot at 6c 12t, i will try ht disabled and post in a bit if anything productive happens thats about it for 6c no ht Edited December 30, 2011 by l0ud_sil3nc3

Dancop
53! I can bench everything under warm water with it. today I got 3d11 with just 1.54v loaded! It's a very good chip. but I don't know, how to play with the straps...I think, this chip is benchable with 5,4 under water. but by know...I'm not able to push it further! 0skill
today i tested my 3960x under ln2 and some realy strange things happend max multi with water cooling was x55 with ln2 max with 2 cores 5555 http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2176351 with 4 cores 54xx with 6 cores 5300 not one mhz more best temp scaleing was around -12,5°C cb @ -22 when i run 6 cores @5250 cb was -
nedernakker
maybe you should back down with the volts... 1.7V + is a bit too much.. anywhere around 1.55V should be sufficient, at least to boot..
0skill
i have tried 1,55-1,7V no difference i just take the screen with 1,7V also tired different voltages with with 6 cores +ht 5300 are benchstable from 1.63 to 1.7V raising vcore don't gave me 1mhz more

knopflerbruce
Maybe you should add CPU model info to the first post, could be interesting to know if 3930k actually overclocks worse than 3960x for example.
veblen
Well, someone on OCN just managed to validate 5.83GHz (119x49 on a MSI X79-65-8D) on a 3930K under SS. http://www.overclock.net/t/1195318/msi-x79-65-8d-wr-cpuz-val-3930k-5831#post_16114840 That's a WR, no? l0ud_sil3nc3
yup member TURN N BURN posted that 5.8er on a GD65 earlier, very sick chip indeed.
nedernakker
sick.... would be expecting some serious damage with that chip
sin0822
TURN&BURN 5.8ghz batch # 3133B433 Earthdog has the same batch.
Earthdog
TURN&BURN 5.8ghz batch # 3133B433 Earthdog has the same batch. Mine stopped at 5.3Ghz under DI, but the board hard locked after that and time was running out so I had to stop. That CPU will get cold again under a proper pot this time (so I can actually tweak and not shovel snow). I will report back.
