yes, its working on X79 board ... but not on all of them, will ask manufacturers for bios ...

 

launch is Q1/12 + price +/- 1300-1500 USD :(

who cares now, two months before launch with immatures BIOSes, and early stepping? Will see after launch, but remember what i am saying now :)

 

Maybe Asus BIOS cant do it, but we have another options :)

Can you overclock your Xeon ES over the Bclk? I can`t go over 107MHz.

hhmm, You say: Its possible STEEP BLK worcking with asus bios modification/update ? and with actual ES chip ? or just with OEM CPU verssion ?

So far from what I have read on forums, gear/strap 125, 166 or whatever doesnt work with Xeon E5 8core.

 

4 different guys, 4 different chips, 4 different motherboards, 4 different bios.

 

No one managed to use another strap than the default 100, 1:1, 1.0.
