FYI, tested F12g for the Z77X-UD3H and it's not really working with memory > DD3-2200. F12d works okay, though.

F9D for the UD5H has added CPu PLl overvoltage for the user to change, perhaps you need to change it to enabled.

I had some issues with UD5H mobo and good PSC sticks (Geil EVOTWO 2000 C6). This modules are capable of 2500 7-11-7-28 (or 6-10-6 2150 etc) on AMD platforms with 1,82 V. I saw some stuff before from Mad222 on Intel and he had them with timings 6-9-6 2100 and insane 2600MHz 7-11-7. But no way to get good timings with frequency 2400 MHz (8-12-8-32). 2600 devider cannot be set neither with LN2 (on Llano system this RAMs could do 2800 boots).

Tried BIOSES: S2, S4, and some official F8?. It was pretty same. Is there some problem with this concrete memory kit? Cause i saw good results with PSCs on Ivy Bridge.

hey froxic, it depends on your CPU.

You can in no way compare memory clocks vs AMD systems, amd systems are just too good at it.

With ivy you need to see what your cpu can do max. Some cpu's cant even reach 1300. but 1200 or 1250 should be ok. Once you hit your memory MHZ limit go mess around with timings. It's not your kit at all, maybe try different CPU'S

I tried it with SB 2700K which was good on other boards. So I blame BIOS, mobo, or "magic" stuff. But I get some 2800 Geils and Kingstons, then 2400 PSC will be history :-)

hope there will be a good BIOS for GA-Z77X-UD5H soon.....

I think someone in BIOS team was listening to Mr.Trololo while improving the BIOS.... I cannot get into windows at DDR3-2600 after updating, same settings, awesome, I was looping benchmarks before, lol... :-)

EDIT;

F9D F9e, both are alot worse than F8...

Thanks, will probably take it for a spin later today, if I dont get too pissed at the mobo ;)

perhaps you need to enable CPU PLL OV as it was added in for users to change with F9 betas. They are BETAs, so just use F8 if you have issue, F8d is best.

Any chance for a Sniper bios that makes it able to run with more than two 7970s?

PPL enabled, but..... A few changes when swapping to this board for a test...

5ghz 1.46v as well (for benchmarks), but, instead of 4c/8t, I can only run 2c stable, 1.452v actual during load, which is about same as before...

Performance has been alot lower, especially in 2D tests...

- This in compare to ASRock Extreme6.

F8 was capable of handling DDR3-2630 8-12-8-27 1T 1.955v, while all the F9* I've tried have not been able to pull same at DDR3-2600 flat, and also it appears that less is more with the F9's, above 1.925v things become very unstable, actual voltage has been same for the settings....

Using LLC 'extreme' with all the BIOS, as it actually gave me 7mhz in first place...

Perhaps it is the 'Auto' VTT that is slightly different in the F9-series, no matter what it is, it is for the worse with PSC.

Adds:

IGPU force disable under System agent config/ graphics config/ option -> internal graphics

Adds:

Pause and rest your CPU/VGA during benching with OCKEY ->

CTL + F1 = pause

CTL + F1 = unpause

If reboot during a pause phase, shutdown and use OCKey to unpause and turn on again to make sure it boots properly without being paused.
