I.nfraR.ed Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 (edited) "Only members of China may participate." - seriously? Plus I don't understand why vendors always limit the competition to a level which is almost like "use OC Formula to win OC Formula". IMO it's better to give everyone a chance and if you win, you get a nice new board from different vendor, which you may like and this could make you change your favorite brand/board. Guess that's only my opinion... Edited September 11, 2012 by I.nfraR.ed Quote

Guess that's only my opinion... Weird. . . "ASRock Z77 OC Formula Challenge is open for submissions until 12 October 2012. This competition is between members. You can submit benchmark results before 12 October 2012. This competition is open to everyone. You can participate by making a submission during the competition." the rules page is not clear atm Quote
Massman Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 It's an ASRock competition for the Chinese crowd, it's not international this one. I agree the competition page might be a bit more clear. The problem here is that our competition limitations are always on stage-level, not on competition-level. Quote

xxbassplayerxx Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 If this is only open to Chinese overclockers, why did all of HWBot get an email inviting us to participate? Quote
Splave Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 question, if you are in china but not chinese are you eligible while in china? Quote
TaPaKaH Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 if yes, that might induce people breaking into their local Chinese embassies in order to bench Quote

There's no code that: - checks your profile to see if you are applicable for a competition - no competition limitations at contest level, all are on stage level A bit annoying, but there's other stuff that needs to be fixed first. //edit: added to buglist http://bugs.hwbot.org/browse/HWBOT-784 Quote
