Splave Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 cool I will try those, can you get me a cpu tweaker shot by chance Quote
Massman Posted October 27, 2010 Author Posted October 27, 2010 Yes, I'll upload the screenshots shortly. Try the following: 1) clear cmos 2) boot at 180BCLK, 2:10 CL7-7-7-21, CPU x19, UNC x20 2) reboot, go in bios and increase to 195BCLK 3) reboot, go in bios and increase to 200BCLK Then try if it runs 32M. Splave Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 leave the secondary subtimings on stock settings? will do when I get home thanks for checking! Quote
Massman Posted October 27, 2010 Author Posted October 27, 2010 Yeah - I'm not setting any subs. Quote
Splave Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 did you disable the epu and green power stuff? mabye thats my issue i did Quote
Massman Posted October 27, 2010 Author Posted October 27, 2010 Yes, disabled all that power-saving (lol! who needs that) stuff. Don't think that could be the issue, though. Quote
steponz Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 which bios was that Mass? I have a picture I have to find of the timings I used.... Ill see if I can upload... Quote
Splave Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 I tryed booting at 190 at those settings and it freezs on windows load screen tryed my other 980x too same thing. I will keep trying though and if I figure it out will post up the answer Quote
Splave Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 this is what is set in subtimings when i try booting 175 I only set 7-7-7-19-64-1n only turned CPU features and power saving off. even this fails pi think it is because I only have 1 cpu power cable ? Quote
Massman Posted October 28, 2010 Author Posted October 28, 2010 I'm also using one power cable. I'm having some issues with DDR3-2000 when the CPU frequency is above 4GHz. I am able to run 3800/2000/4000 and 4300/1950/4300, though, which is something you already have problems with, I guess. Three screenshots: (sorry, missed memory tab there) Quote
Massman Posted October 28, 2010 Author Posted October 28, 2010 Copied some posts to this thread. Let's continue here, it's a bit more appropriate Quote
Massman Posted October 28, 2010 Author Posted October 28, 2010 Just ran 1.4b6 bios. For argument's sake I also did a few OS tweaks so no one could complain about the shitty end result. - lsc=1 - disabled services - theme= silver - cw No subtiming tweaking. Booting at 190MHz BCLK. Quote
Splave Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Im going to yoink mobo cooler and make sure everything is seated well etc. Quote
Massman Posted October 28, 2010 Author Posted October 28, 2010 Try to boot at lower BCLK and up in Windows with your dashboard. Sometimes I get instant freeze when booting at 200MHz BCLK, but get straight through when booting at 195MHz BCLK and upping in OS. Quote
Splave Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 hey mass you are using hypers right gtx2? Quote
Don_Corleone- Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 PJ how did you get 18K write? 12K write is a big dream for me with xpower (tried 3boards and 5cpu's) Quote
Massman Posted October 28, 2010 Author Posted October 28, 2010 hey mass you are using hypers right gtx2? Yeap, GTX2 Hypers. I could try some PSC (3x1GB) if needed. Don't have that much memory lying around here. PJ how did you get 18K write?12K write is a big dream for me with xpower (tried 3boards and 5cpu's) Ehr, how? Just ... set settings and run. 12K sounds like B2B was enabled. Quote

Massman Posted October 28, 2010 Author Posted October 28, 2010 What kind of crashing do you get? Freeze up or error messages? Quote
e-Killer Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Pieter can you try with your PSC? thanks... Quote
Don_Corleone- Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Ehr, how? Just ... set settings and run. 12K sounds like B2B was enabled. Man i worked on this project for some days but no way through 12K found! Scores are like this : 20k-11k-19k What's the problem about WRITE? I've tried setting b2b to 0 from bios and cpu-tweaker and tried about every bios version you uploaded. Quote
Splave Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 alrighty changed the tim, they use a pink hard like wax stuff on the NB and the thermal pads need to be thicker and only contact the first and last. 1850 7-8-7-24-88 boots but fails @ 14th line with same subtimings as your shot. What type of vtt and vdimm you using? Quote
Massman Posted October 29, 2010 Author Posted October 29, 2010 Pieter can you try with your PSC? thanks... Running now. Did you clear the bios or load bios profiles? Quote
Splave Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 clear bios, just tried single channel and same. It boots up to windows and freezes at desktop. @ 1850 7-8-7-24-88 do we need bbse or psc for these boards? Quote
