Both launched in 2005, so not allowed.

Where do you get your info for X850XT/XTPE/Pro/ from?

I see various info on different sites.

Article from Tom's hardware (2004) - http://www.tomshardware.com/news/ati-launches-x850,413.html

Wikipedia (2005) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_AMD_graphics_processing_units#Radeon_R400_series

TechReport tested both X850XT and XTPE on their review from Dec 1 2004 http://techreport.com/review/7679/ati-radeon-x850-xt-graphics-cards

Not sure which of them were available in stores at the end of 2004 if any of them.

And even that is not a criterion, because we all know availability in different markets is different.

IMO they should be threated equally (Pro, XT and XTPE PCI-E versions) - either allow or disallow.

What about RADEON 8500LE/9100/9000/9000 PRO? They were released in 2002.

Not allowed, the cards were released in 2003 and 2005. Only 2002 cards are allowed.

In early 2002, to compete with the cheaper GeForce 3 Ti200 and GeForce 4 MX 460, ATI launched the slower-clocked 8500LE (known as 9100 in Europe) which became popular with OEMs and enthusiasts due to its lower price, and overclockability to 8500 levels.

I would like clarification here, also. So I can know if I need to get a different card.

Could qx6700 be added to sc2 conroe?

Wrote him on msn, let's hope we'll get answers soon.

Meanwhile, if someone has more free time maybe it's a good idea to summarize all unanswered questions in a single post.

Othewrise I'll do it when I get back home.

Apoligies for the massive delay! Things ... well, you know.

Thanks for the list too, makes it a bit easier :D

850Pro/XT/XT PE PCI-E | SC2 #3
Article from Tom's hardware (2004) - http://www.tomshardware.com/news/ati...-x850,413.html

I think the Pro version was released first, bought one at launch.

The criterion is indeed release date, regardless of availability. I checked Wikipedia as main source, hence the mistake.

I've added all three cards to the competition now.

9100(8500LE)/9000/9000Pro | SC2 #2

You really want those cards added to the competition? They are not really that competitive, quite frankly.

QX6700 | SC2 #4

Could qx6700 be added to sc2 conroe?

Kentsfield was purposefuly left out in this stage as Conroe should be faster, but given that the QX6700 would be competitive as well it's a valid request.

Added.

Prescott-256 (Celeron D) | SC2 #3
Hi guys on SC2 #3 Prescott vs. Clawhammer Intel: All, except a few Pentiums. But can i use celereons? Prescott-256 (Celeron D) List of them http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_Celeron_microprocessors#.22Prescott-256.22_.2890_nm.29

No Celerons. The idea is to have the most high-end setups of the moment eligible for the competition. In case where we allow multiple architectures, it's because it's unclear what is the fastest architecture (AMD ... :-/).

Then why these are allowed in the same stage where the lower-end Radeons aren't?

GeForce4 MX 420 DDR 128bit, GeForce4 MX 420 DDR 64bit, GeForce4 MX 420 DDR 64bit-8x, GeForce4 MX 420 SDR, GeForce4 MX 440 DDR, GeForce4 MX 440 DDR 64bit, etc.

Heck, even the GF4 Titaniums are not competitive enough to beat the Radeon 9700 :P

Why Radeon/Ati guys are left with so little options, when you allow very weak cards from Nvidia at the same time?

PS: thanks for the X850 cards, however already bought X850XT, but should have waited a little longer and buy XT PE instead :(

Quite frankly, I thought the chance you'd ever respond to this is very minimal.

it can be rank 8 in the team cup. (and its air cooled) the system rank 1-7 are cooled with sub zero or have an amd card.

the clawhammer 512k is no other thing its a strpped clawhammer 1024 .

a celeron d presscott 256kb is the same on the intel side.
