PlatoonSgtElias Posted August 29, 2010 Share Posted August 29, 2010 Hi guys, I was wondering how to adjust the LOD on fermi cards, I have the GTX470 but rivatuner dosent support it even if I manually set the driver code in it. BenchZowner Posted August 29, 2010 Share Posted August 29, 2010 RivaTuner works fine with all the 1xx.xx drivers ( after you add the GTX470 device ID in RivaTuner.cfg ). nVIDIA changed the LoD key address with the new 2xx.xx drivers, we need to find the address and change the LoD manually ( or simply create a simple program to change it with ). Somebody said nVIDIA listed those in an article regarding the new drivers & AA mode @ nVIDIA's developers zone ( developer.nvidia.com ) but I can't seem to find it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Kal-EL Posted August 29, 2010 Share Posted August 29, 2010 Go into your program folder files in your C: drive (os drive), look for the rivatuner folder. Right click and edit the .cfg file in notepad. In this instance we are adding the GTX 480: Device ID : 06c0 for 480 add this line: G200 = 06C0-06FF into the [GPU_10DE] section and this line: DEV_06c0 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480" into the [VEN_10DE] section add Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Use Device Manager ( nVIDIA GTX xxx -> Properties -> Details -> Device Instance ID, the number you're looking for is the number XXXX at PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_XXXX ) or Everest Ultimate or SiSoft Sandra to find the Device ID and add it to rivatuner.cfg in the same way Fermi = XXXX-06FF Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As I read on a website (can't find it just at this moment) that it is DX dependant...? Maybe because tessellation adds a fully dynamic LoD based on what the user is looking at these drivers don't support LoD changes manually?
