I just discovered Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. Knowing nothing, I ran the XTU Benchmark. I've tweaked my setup over many years on this old Asus MB PC, so there are I'm sure many settings that are not the original ones. I built my PC on an Asus B85M-E R2. I put an Intel Core i5-4570 CPU @3.20 GHz in it, with AMI 0303 BIOS from 4/18/13 running in UEFI mode. PCR7 configuration binding fails on it. Asus documentation told me that there is a TPM port on board and that I could buy a chip for it, but none I tried worked. The BIOS did not recognize any of them (I returned them all). Therefore, it doesn't pass the Windows encryption requirements to install Windows 11. So, I'm run…

So I have a super old vapochill cooler from one of the silver and red case coolers that was hacked into a lian Li pc-70 case and does go sub zero. under a benchmarking load the cooling head is maxing out at -5 C and the cpu in use is an anthlon XP so no IHS. what type of pics would I need to provide to work towards this achievement? https://hwbot.org/submission/5558037_flareonlover139_3dmark03_geforce_7800_gs_14062_marks

I would like to hear from a professional. I purchased a 7800X3D The board is an Asrock B650E Taichi I have studied SkatterBencher and the explanation of Actually Hardcore Overclocking I'm trying to run it, but I can't do it well. I know professionals may not be interested in this CPU, but I want to succeed in overclocking it since I bought it at an affordable price. At present, Eclk can be applied up to 105 by the profile of SkatterBencher, but it is the situation that OS cannot be booted beyond that. I would appreciate any advice you can give me.

Hello rookie here having a blast OCing my old hardware. Currently benchmarking my old ASUS 650TI (1gb, 980 MHz GPU Clock, 1350 MHz Memory Stock) I have my 650TI at 1.137V which is the maximum I can get it to via MSI Afterburner. Right now using stock cooling I can get the GPU Clock to 1220 MHz with a Memory Clock of 1450 MHz and I'm basically on the edge of stability. The maximum temps I see are around 60C, even with the stock air cooling I'm convinced I can squeeze a bit more performance out of it. Is there any way to exceed the 100mV limit, or in order to do this would I have to do something outside of programs like Afterburner? Appreciate any input -…

Total newb to OC, just looking into it today for the first time. I'm running some tests using XTU 2.0 on a new Asus Prime Z690-P MB / i7-13700K with 64GB (2x32GB) Kingston Fury Beast 5600MT/s DDR5 Ram The system came with a Cooler Master MasterLiquid Lite 240 installed. I'm not yet doing any sort of Overclocking yet, just running it in Factory Auto/Defaults mode to get some baseline numbers. My Question: Is it normal when I run XTU 2.0 Benchmark for the Package Temperature to go to 100C and Thermal Throttle after a few seconds? It drops back down to 36C after the test is run, but I'm a bit concerned that this Water Cooler is not that great.

Hello. I have an i9 10900k in H710 with RTX 4080 on NZXT N7 Z490 motherboard. I don't have watercooling anymore, I use air cooling Deepcool AS500 and I am not getting any good temperatures. https://hwbot.org/submission/4770929_107021943003584698770_xtu_core_i9_10900k_4127_marks (look in the picture) I took the settings from here and these seem to be the best for me, but still, when I am gaming, I still get power throttling (csgo/fortnite/elden ring). I use my cpu cooler at full speed, case's cooler full speed gpu fan speed almost full speed I set my cpu tj max to 89 because my pc kept shutting down while gaming obviously and disabled all c states. …

I'm new to overclocking. Have been using HWMonitor and XTU2 to try and get my new rig set up. My overclocking goals are: Don't let the smoke out Get something close to maximized, stable performance that won't adversely impact the life of my gear. When I started, I was getting a LOT of thermal throttling. I think I have that pretty well under control now, no temp throttling, cores sit at about 98c when at 100% utilization for extended periods. What I am seeing is Power Limit Throttling and Current/EDP Limit throttling while running benchmarks. (Cinebench R23 33503 / XTU2 11065) If I understand it right, the CPU would like more volt…

Hello, I've been tweaking my 2*16gb 3600cl16 DJR kit for the past weeks and I've got some interesting results, and questions as well. For reference, the kit is KF436C16RB1K2/32 packing the ICs KF436C16RB1K2/32 in a dual rank config, my CPU is a 5600x(B2 stepping) and my motherboard is a MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS(with the latest bios, Agesa 1.2.0.7). Firstly, my CPU could only do up to 1867FCLK with the stock settings(CCD and IOD voltages were locked at 1V each), but after changing the voltages: 0.98V CCD, 1.05V IOD, 1.15V SOC I've managed to boot and work with 1900FCLK with no WHEA errors in a 4 hour stress test. Now, my questions: At those settings: ProcOdt 43…

Hi all, Long time gamer, first time poster. I've been fiddling with my RAM timings for for days, and I don't know where to go from here. Thought I'd see if someone in the Rookies thread can help me out. My goal is to get my latency (AIDA64 Extreme ) below 50 ns, I dream of 45-46 ns. But is that just what it is? A dream? Current AIDA64 Latency ~ 51.8 ns Stable at 4133 with 15-15-15-30 RFC 260 Specs and OC (TestMem5 anta777 5 Cycles PASS) (secondaries and Tertiaries are in the screenshot). Kit: GSKILL Trident F4-4266C17D-32GTRSB RTL : I thought I had tightened the RTLs, but it looks like I only have them at 73/73/73 …

I was wondering if someone on here might be able to answer a question for me. I have a 12900k which shows a max frequency for ddr4 is 3600, me not knowing you need to match your memory with your motherboard AND your CPU I bought Gskil f4-4800c20D-32GTES. I turned on the xmp profile and everything seemed to run alright untill i started playing warzone with some friends. the Game kept having drops and errors no matter what I did, just randomly. I finally had a friend suggest tha tit could be my memory tha twas to high ov a bandwitch fo rmy CPU causing instability and so I turned off xmp and ran it at 2666. Low and behold it was completly stable with no more warzone c…

I am puzzled because I am new to CPU Frequency OC. My system is CPU: 12900KS Board: ROGSTRIXZ690-I GAMING WIFI BIOS is set to 2-core and HT is disabled and cache is set to auto. I set the voltage to 1.5v in XTU on OS and it works fine up to 5700MHZ. But when I raise it to 5800Mhz, PC crashes. I tried to set the voltage up to 1.6v on XTU, but it did not work. I have tried OS 10 and 11, but the same symptom. When I used Windows 7 before, it could boot at 5800mhz. Is it an OS problem? Is it a problem with the OS or is it a basic misconfiguration? I would like to get advice from professionals if possible.

I'm new here. And I have a question: How can I run Benchmate if the motherboard does not support the HPET timer? Basically there is no HPET option in the bios. When I starting Benchmate I just get a error message: "Driver Init failed The driver could not initialize the High Precision Event Timer for reliable time measurement". I have read the rules and almost all benchmark need this Benchmate. So if I can not start it, that would be quite a problem. Motherboard: Abit AB9 QuadGT (Socket 775) with the lattes BIOS OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit

Does anyone have software recommendations for BCLK overclocking? I'm trying to BCLK overclock my i5-6600 for cpu frequency, but have a pretty locked down bios (Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3 on f22f). XTU works for changing voltage and BCLK, but I don't see any way to disable specific cores. Is there any windows software that can do that, or do you need a motherboard/bios that lets you disable some of the cores? There is some way to disable some cores (https://hwbot.org/submission/3671687_alibabar_cpu_frequency_core_i5_6600_5868.46_mhz has only 2 cores), but IDK if it can be done through software or requires a different motherboard.

Hey, After many years of being away from overclocking (s939 era) I decided to dive back in and I have been working on firestrike ultra. My issue is that I seem to be stuck and despite having a higher average clock I'm getting beaten by a fair amount from the people above me. I am getting the feeling I am messing something up with my windows/driver setup. If anyone one could provide so suggestions or if they need more info please let me know. https://www.3dmark.com/fs/26889519 Thanks
