  1. I don't think so Lew. I can run 1866 sticks (933) at spec on my 890FXA-UD5 pretty easily. The HTT is pretty high on those linked subs but I suppose it is possible.
  2. Thanks Mat. The clarification makes it a bit easier to understand. Maybe in an update you could include all of the required accessories needed to run this (except OpenCL drivers of course), maybe packaged in an installer? Just thinking out loud. Thanks again.
  3. Didn't really want to do this if I didn't have to. I guess the 478 Willamette's would be the next oldest at Aug. of 2001 Northies after that.
  4. OK............but he says it's XP compatible. So it really isn't? Also, there should be some minimum requirements listed somewhere then. So what exactly is the oldest CPU this will run on? Netburst processors (Pentium 4, Xeon, Celeron, Pentium D, Celeron D) Via C7 A64 is what I come up with.
  5. Mat, how old a cpu can you run this on? I get this error on a Pentium 2 on XP SP3.
  6. In general, I cannot help but agree with you.
  7. I see dust. Is that supposed to be a new board?
  8. Unfortunately, there are many stories exactly like this out there.
  9. Awesome. I will participate and donate. Karl was an old school hardware aficionado. If in my lifetime I could acquire half the knowledge he had, I would be satisfied. Thanks for the opportunity to participate.
  10. Good luck my friend. Hope to see you come back. ~Scotty
  11. Must have been some butt kicking, stuff arrived here today. Thank you.
  12. Nice find on the beta's. Did not have those stored. Thanks.
  13. 706 was the last available bios. If that doesn't work for you, short of somebody building you one, you're SOL.
  14. +1 :celebration: Sub zero cooling rule supersedes everything. As soon as you go sub zero, you are now in the extreme league.
  15. 99% of the people in the world don't know what it means unless they google it. It was probably safe until you brought attention to it.............unless that was the point.
  16. Picture rule?....pfffft. So I take a picture of a rig on water and tie it to my sub. Prove that I actually used it for that sub. No chance. What's my water temp?.....and is it really water in the loop? Just playing devil's advocate here. It's impossible to prove.
  17. I get that, but you already notice other subs like that, so you know they're doing it. When in Rome....... It's impossible to prove under the current structure and format.
  18. It's not a problem. Proving they're using it is. That's why I said " water is water". If you can't compete with the guys that run chillers....you run a chiller. It's water.
