  1. Thanks - I believe I could have got even more from it but was running low on Ln2 and the system was acting buggy so shut it down. I even came close to doing a run around 8250 but it locked up on iteration 0. Thats how it goes sometimes. I'll give it another go later.
  2. I can certainly try it later and see what I get. BTW I edited the entry to include a pic of the chip so it's info can be seen for the record.
  3. Mine lost it a long time ago, well before it had been used with Ln2. It quit working once, started working again then quit once more and it's been like this ever since. I knew even with that issue it was a keeper and thats why I still have it. Thanks for the comments guys, they are appreciated! ?
  4. Thanks guys - I was really leaning on it as you can see. Lack of dual channel with this chip is the obvious reason why but it still delivered! Just imagine what it could do if it still had dual channel working.....
  5. No prob - I'll come after it later. ? Good job just getting it done.
  6. Sounds like W1zzard would need to look into that concerning GPU-Z.
  7. Could be - I can't say for sure since mine didn't die. Thanks guys for the comments, most appreciated!
  8. Thanks guys! I think this one has hit the limit, need to find myself a few more and see what I can get.
  9. All I can say to those guys is bring it..... I'd seriously doubt any of them could beat the majority here with the same card and setup anyway. As we say about American football when we use the term "Armchair Quarterback" - Easy to criticize things, plays called and so on watching the game but if IN the game, they'd fail gloriously.
  10. You are doing a great job Alex, your efforts are appreciated by the community and I know it's a big task but you can do it. ?
  11. I'll say it like this. Every competitor knows or at least should know what they are getting into here. It's not like a certain few have to deal with it, we all do. I will also say in-house benchers DO have an advantage, no question about that and skill is required to get the best scores along with luck being on your side. They do get pieces that's already been tested (Binned) in most cases, in some cases the pieces are not binned but they still have manufacturer support behind them - I mean the house guys ARE right there where they are made right? When speaking of skill, that is very important and makes a large difference for squeezing the most from a chip, binned or otherwise but there is also the flip-side of this concerning a piece being a D.O.G. of a piece of hardware - No skills you'd have will ever overcome that issue. The likelyhood of the average "Joe" having a dog is clearly there, for the house guys probrably not and that's just how it is. The other-other side of that coin is every so often a freak piece will appear in the retail pipe and it's the "Joe" that gets it instead. Been there, done that with mine and by now everyone knows I've had a few freaks here of my own - In fact I've still got a few now. In the end, although the house guys DO have an inherent advantage it's still no guarantee of anything which is why it doesn't matter to me. You wanna play, it's a big sandbox and expect some of the kids in it to be bigger than others. Either that or go home.
  12. I'll be blunt..... Sounds like someone (Or a few someone's) are being taken for a ride and guess who bailed from behind the drivers seat with all the cash and keys to the ride too. ? I do hope I'm wrong here but that's what it sounds like to me ATM. If they paid for it they should have full access - Period and if not AND they agreed to it, then it's their loss and it's all on them.
