Well said. Leave legacy alone, new stuff choice is up to user if they use benchmate alone or with cpuz. Score subject to review by mod either way if out of line. Should be nice to not have to delete any new users scores lol.

Rocket Lake 32M Pi Tweaks for Noobs

It is much easier to just train and boot memory than it is to do actual work with it. -

Drop a crumb for some nubs, per core OC needed for highest clock. Try to clock only core 02 as high as it will go leave the others at 5ghz etc. usually gains 50-100mhz depending on the cpu vs all cores high. Also makes it fail less after the bench completes and or when opening cpuz. Right click CPUz to select the high core. -
A new way to address CPUs (Cores/Threads) on HWBot
Splave replied to der8auer's topic in HWBOT 2021 Edition
I actually wasn't trolling and my point couldn't be more relevant to this discussion. AMD is doing this already but the cores just match. Makes it even more relevant when you clock the cores separately like we will be with alder lake. None of the top 5950x scores using matching clocks, I know because I have them. Close the thread if the decision is already made. It seems to be giving the false sense of value to other opinions than the already chosen decision. The people that run the show should decide anyways as there is always a spilt in what should be done. ❤️ -
A new way to address CPUs (Cores/Threads) on HWBot
Splave replied to der8auer's topic in HWBOT 2021 Edition
should we consider that AMD 5950x is 8+8 even though they are matching cores, and 8+8+8+8+8+8+8+8 etc for thread ripper? Where do we draw the line. -
ebay is around $450 I have some space left but yes seems no interest in a good chip im kind of surprised. maybe people aren't aware that some max at 6.3

A new way to address CPUs (Cores/Threads) on HWBot
Splave replied to der8auer's topic in HWBOT 2021 Edition
I think the first "non-homogeneous" core CPUs (aka no-homo CPUs) that will compete at the top there will be some growing pains. I think people just want to hear if there is a mass exodus hwbot is willing to possibly change -

I understand what roman is saying, looking to the future is important because if hwbot is gone the choice doesn't matter. -

I just feel like we are calling it something it isn't for the sake of it getting global points. Id be salty if I had 11900k scores and a 16 core took my points that's all. Not an easy choice and I will participate however you guys decide. ?❤️?? -
A new way to address CPUs (Cores/Threads) on HWBot
Splave replied to der8auer's topic in HWBOT 2021 Edition
Im not following, 4770k has 4 cores and ht, 9590 has 8 cores. Therefore 4770k is in the 4 core category and 9590 is in the 8 core category proving my argument that 12900k should be in 16 or am i missing something. Its not about what they call, its about what it is. The PR alone I cant wait to hear what they say "worlds fastest big little"/ "first 16 core over 7ghz" etc going to be a real laugh. -

If you call it a 8 core its is fighting against 5800x and 11900k IMO that doesnt seem fair at all. If you were to pickup the phone and say "hello MR.Intel, how many cores does a 12900k have?" they would say it has 16. In my opinion its a 16 core processor, this is due to the fact that it has 16 cores. We need to not dilute the rankings by catering to hopeful companies to claim PR victories. -
