The official You've Got The Xtreme Power! thread.
BenchZowner replied to G81's topic in HWBOT Competitions
Allow me to have some doubts about the availability at those... shops. I had a terrible experience with CU.net in the past and with 4launch. Maybe our friends from the Netherlands and Germany can share their experience with those shops. -

So... it's been on NewEgg for 1 week ? It's 10 days 'til the contest ends. I'm not in the USA at the moment, and I can't find it in Europe ( no matter where I look, feel free to pick any country ). -

So where's that retail MSI X58 Big Bang Xpower yet MSI ? We're tired of being breast-feeded with Xtremely Powerful loads of bollocks. Are you guys going to step up anytime soon ? -
If you can "force" the developers to do the necessary changes ( additions actually ) which will ensure that: 1) The hardware used will be detected properly ( models and clocks ) 2) The validation system isn't easy to crack like 1-2-3-you're done 3) Forced settings mode, to be sure that everybody runs the bench with the same settings Then go for it.

HD 5870 SOC - no voltage tunning support!
BenchZowner replied to Jor3llBR/Elano's topic in General overclocking
If you know somebody or yourself can program in C/C++/VB an application to use the PMbus to change the VID of the controller, then you'll be able to set any voltage you desire. -
HD 5870 SOC - no voltage tunning support!
BenchZowner replied to Jor3llBR/Elano's topic in General overclocking
Don't think that's going to happen anytime soon ( if at all ). Gigabyte screwed up, and won't bother fixing it. -
If that's a "getting input on a benchmark we're thinking off adding to the rankings" thread, then, simply, no. It's not suitable for that purpose because of total lack of score validation.

NVIDIA GTX 480 Voltage Modifications
BenchZowner replied to BenchZowner's topic in Nvidia GPU Overclocking
They are fine. To overclock the GTX 480 on LN2 just do: 1) Hipro5's BIOS Cold Slow fix #1 2) Kinc's CBB 3) Kinc's OCP mods 4) Vgpu mod -

You have the judging power to decide if MaxxxMem will be added to the HWbot ranked benchmarks though, and adding it will be a big mistake. -

So why does my perfectly 24/7 stable system ( which is not pushed at all, just 4GHz i7 980X & DDR3-2000 7-9-7-24 ) scores differ by 100pts and up to 400pts from run to run ? -

MaxxxMem is TOTALLY incosistent, even worse than passmark ( that's an amazing achievement ) -

Hardware sharing- by people who should know better
BenchZowner replied to K404's topic in Submission & member moderation
I'd really love to see HWbot's staff stepping up ( in this eternity plz ) and enforcing the rule for every single case, awarding the "cheaters" with a 6 month ban. -

ROFL... I really would like to see that happen with some other people... -

Good catch The hardware-sharing rule should be removed though as it's hard ( if possible at all ) to prove in most cases apart from... stupid "cheaters" -

Not really. But maxxxmem is known for its... inaccuracy, so for maxxxmem 29ns mem latency is possible -

I said I don't care. If others are asking you and you want to do what they ask, do it, stop knocking on my door, I ain't opening the door. I'm not interested in HWboting, I might post here every now and then, but I ain't uploading any scores. Have fun! -
