  1. Yes, it says in the opening post this is an experimental project ... the product is not even final yet. I hope it will be available to everyone but right now I can't tell you when or if it ever will be. If you want to buy one of these right now the Epower is your only choice.
  2. Been benching at around 1.65v most of the time. Didn't see any damage so far.
  3. Alright, well there also seems to be no relation to LN2 clocks so maybe it'll perform better under cold.
  4. GPU quality will always be varying ... We didn't see any correlation between ASIC quality and actual overclockability. What GPU voltage are you at?
  5. No retail for now ... There will soon be a new firmware for it with optimized settings for the VRM, saw quite big clock frequency increase. Also adds support for auxiliary voltage sense (more accurate, should be connected to MLCC capacitors at the back of the GPU), optimized update rate and averaging of monitoring values, and the ability to alter the VRM switching frequency.
  6. 3D only bioses https://www.mediafire.com/?jbqwtjjctv19aq7 GPU Tweak https://www.mediafire.com/?a9o0ybdvtlxdtty Post your results here, share your findings or let us know if you have issues.
  7. Main features * Single 8-phase output * Output voltage 0-2.5V * Output current up to 500A * On-board voltage control/monitoring * 6x Hotwire connectors for auxillary VRM's * Firmware upgradable Current functionality (FW v0002) * Output voltage setting/monitoring * Output voltage offset switches (+0.4V, +0.3V, +0.2V, +0.1V) * Safety switch (limits output voltage to maximum 1.4V) * Output current monitoring * VRM temperature monitoring * Load-line calibration (0%, 60%, 80%, 100%) * Hotwire setting/monitoring Upcoming features * Profiles (save/load) * Auxillary output voltage sense This is still an experimental project and a few test samples have just shipped out to overclockers working with Asus. Let me know what you guys think and if you have some feedback regarding functionality.
  8. Thanks guys! Vgpu 1.666V Temp -140 Card did 1525/8500 on air. From our testing there's no relation between air and LN2 clocks. It seems however that cards with stronger memory overclocks perform better on LN2, not 100% certain though.
  9. Yes, that should be fine. If you wanna feel extra safe just apply max value to both. Let me know how it works out.
  10. Yes that should be the case. Or just press apply on both, order doesn't matter. You only need to apply OCP again after power down.
  11. With VRM Temperature monitoring: https://www.dropbox.com/s/713edmnx869pe98/eVc%20v1b4%20-%20epower_ocp3.exe?dl=0 The VRM has two modes, first is regular operation where it listens to the GPU VID commands. The Regular OCP option sets OCP in this mode. When setting voltage with eVc and probably other utilities as well supporting high voltages, the VRM enters "Gamer Mode" which has a different setting for OCP and is the one that should be relevant in this case. edit: Yes 496A should work. Updated link with a version that removes OCP test, the option does nothing.
  12. I have a confirmed working version, for epower right? Try this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5cr9em81my6o1ql/eVc%20v1b4%20-%20epower_ocp.exe?dl=0 If applying voltage through eVc, Gamer OCP is the value you want to change.
  13. One should be enough since they probably have different addresses. The VT1165 works, but in some cases it seems the maximum voltage is limited (~1.5v). Not sure why and as you said I have not been able to test on a 2900XT myself.
  14. I'll have something this weekend, all set on datasheets etc. GPU and Memory control is possible.
  15. Oh damn, sorry for late reply. Don't get notifications about new threads apparantly. Anyhow I need to know which VRM controllers first.

    overclock old mobo

If it has i2c/smbus control then sure. Got any more details?
  17. The issue is I'm missing the specific datasheets and have to guess how to set the voltage. Might be able to get my hands on both card and datasheet the coming week. For now I have to rely on your feedback to try to add support. Regarding your issue with higher voltage barbonenet: Do you have a crash just by setting the voltage or during load? Full shut down? If not what's the GPU voltage after the crash? Did you try the OCP option under More settings?
  18. Alright, I tried the old way for UP62xx VRMs. I'll might need to try to find new datasheets then. For the PLL VRM location it should be the lower indicated IC on the image attached in my previous post.
  19. Alright, thanks for the information. Can you identify the two VRM controllers for mem and pll in the attached image? Is the memory controller UP6306? Also with this version you cannot set memory voltage? (Voltage PS0/1/2/3) https://www.dropbox.com/s/6dbgaz9frlquey1/eVc%20v1b4%20-%20780dc2test3.exe
  20. It should be possible yes. Can you connect it and do a device scan?
  21. Sure, it's a simple process. I just send you the firmware a long with an update script.
  22. https://www.dropbox.com/s/feibaqz0eeru2ha/eVc%20v1b4_SPDtest1.exe Can't edit SPD yet (working on implementing all the available data), but you can read/write and save/open files. For example it's possible to copy the SPD from one stick to another. It's available under Menu -> SPD read/write.
