  1. Unfortunately not, needs AVR compatible programmer. They're actually not very expensive though: http://www.ebay.com/itm/High-Quality-1PCS-USBasp-USBISP-3-3V-5V-AVR-Programmer-USB-ATMEGA8-New-LW-/221401386529?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item338c8d0e21
  2. Glad you guys like it! If someone wants to try if it works, try soldering to these spots (make sure dimm slot alignment is correct). If you find any address 0x50-0x53 you're good to go! (0x50 represents Slot #1, 0x51 Slot #2 etc). Original picture courtesy of TiN.
  3. Thanks to an idea by Jake Crimmins of Corsair the eVc can now be considered an SPD flashing device as well http://elmorlabs.com/index.php/2014-05-17/readwrite-memory-spd-with-evc/
  4. Found a way to upgrade the current firmware over USB by an end-user (http://elmorlabs.com/index.php/2014-05-15/all-devices-now-ship-with-upgradable-firmware/). There's no need for hardware changes but the devices already shipped out would need to be upgraded with an Atmel AVR compatible programmer. This will be useful for bug fixing and eventual feature additions. For example I've been contemplating adding an I2C sniffer function in order to help reverse engineering software behavior and increase voltage limits. If you're coming to Computex and want your device upgraded just let me know!
  5. Computex coming up ^^ Nah but I saw some other boards going for 200 EUR and this should be quite a good sample. I'm open to offers of course!
  6. Yeah I figured, why I didn't offer it first Good luck!
  7. Alright, might have a quad kit but it's CMD16GX3M4A2800C12.
  8. Do you need full 4x4GB kit? I have 2 sticks from a CMD16GX3M4A2666C10 kit for sale. Good clockers, no box though I think. PM me for details.
  9. I got some reports that there's a maximum voltage limit using some VT1165 controllers, not sure how to change that. I'll look into it and get back to you.
  10. Can't find any public data on them. UP6306 should be a multi phase VRM controller for memory. You could try if it works with the same procedure as on UP62xx with the version below. https://www.dropbox.com/s/9m1iq1zwr5qbba0/eVc%20v1b4%20-%20780dc2test2.exe
  11. Hmm, strange. You can find 0x0C in the list of addresses?
  12. No worries, easy mistake. I believe there's no digital control available for vmem/pll, there's another chip but I'm not sure what it's for. You could try this to get some data: Go to Menu and select Register scan. Enter: Device address 0x0C Register start 0x1 Register end 0xFF Run it and send the log to me.
  13. You need to put the file in the same folder as LibUsbDotNet.dll which is available in this release http://elmor.se/files/eVc_v1b3.zip
  14. Try this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/pbzyim94am9tfnu/eVc%20v1b4%20-%20780dc2test1.exe (ASUS 780Ti DC2 profile)
  15. This version should work fully for OCP, who has time to test? https://www.dropbox.com/s/0078uv0zqm917g6/eVc%20v1b4%20-%20780_ocptest2.exe
  16. Does any of the SVID voltages work?
  17. Looking forward to finding out if it helps, maybe there's a minimum setting so too low values don't work. This is the only way of setting OCP limit that I found so far.
  18. Hmm, that's strange. As I asked, SVID or Override mode? Does both work?
  19. IR3567B should be similar to the CHL controllers. I'll try to get the full datasheet somehow. Mike: Could you try the 7870 HAWK profile on the 290X? I think just checking the monitoring output would be enough.

Let me check the datasheet, you can solder the cables without any worries. The software has to be updated to support this VRM controller though. edit: The available datasheet doesn't disclose anything about how the serial interface works, and states "The device manages serial BUS communication to program power management functionalities as well as monitoring.". It's possible it does not support voltage control over serial bus at all. Also the output voltage seems limited to 1.35V, even with full access to its internals.
  21. Can you send me the log file? 0A might be a bugged value, what about 4A? Also what is the result if you go to Menu - Send custom command and enter the following: Address 0x46 Register 0x1D And press Read?
  22. They are for different power states reported from the GPU. Is the second voltage working in both 2d and 3d?
  23. Cool, you mean the voltage is applied first when entering 3D? SVID mode or Override?
  24. I have a test version where you can set the OCP limit very high (can't disable over I2C), but still havn't had it tested. https://www.dropbox.com/s/6d5jaqcv72nr0h3/eVc%20v1b4%20-%20780_ocptest1.exe Use the 780/Ti Lightning profile and you'll find the OCP option at GPU Voltage under More settings. It could be tested by for example setting the limit really low and see if it triggers OCP. Let me know how it goes.
