hwbot "classic" rev8
Fasttrack replied to richba5tard's topic in HWBOT Development: bugs, features and suggestions
George, you are one of the most down to Earth members here on the BOT. So, question : Don't people need in every form of activity in life options and challenges in order to keep the spirit up ? To wake up and keep trying to get better ? If we start - cut this, stop that, restrictions, space getting smaller - then we wake up and say " what the hell, I might as well do something else " -

And as Havli said " Last one to shut down the servers and turn off the lights ". It is not funny. Not at all. I agree 110% to the last word !!! We should come to our senses. WHO in the name of GOD is going to keep benching for 30 scores ? Competitions are the " refreshing air ", where active members have a go and also have the opportunity to collect a few points. Seasonal ? Why does the Administration not come open wide and say - people 30 scores - wanna be in, go LN2 ( obligatory ) and pay an arm and a leg for the latest and greatest HW, to be competitive and maybe collect some points. Not me, lol. I have spent in the last 8 years 50K plus for this - no more. If the servers can't support a wide base of scores and give the benchers alternative solutions to accumulate points, then I don't bench. WHAT ON EARTH CANT THE ADMINISTRATION UNDERSTAND ??? -

Paraphrasing with a bit of humor - Is there really a way to satisfy everyone ? DEFINITELY NOT. I must admit, looking at the efforts that Frederic does ( and his associates ), that there is at least one very encouraging point - there is finally an open channel between Admininstration and the Community, to DISCUSS. I am certainly NOT the right person to suggest what this balanced structure of points should be. But I think that there are two very important things that must be secured, despite whatever changes will apply ( now and the future ). 1) Long time efforts of members ( going deep in the past ) 2) Team points ( which are the accumulated long time effort of all Team members ). From there on, simple logic suggests that IT MUST NOT turn into a money game ( it is now, it has been for ages ). Hope. The last frontier. Let's not lose even that -
1.0.1 works fine here too. Direct upload to HWBOT thru "analyze on HWBOT". All seems normal. If @richba5tard you are certain that it is bulletproof, give it points. But clear up old "problematic" submissions first, of older highly cheatable versions.

OK ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This is my SS. I believe that there is noone in our community that does not know the KING builder of SS, Cascade and water chillers units. @nachtfalke @KaRtA Maybe you understand now how I can go high with relatively low voltages. If you read the manufacturer's description, you will understand. This unit folks idles at -67 and never goes above -58 whatever I throw at it. Still to be tested with my I9-7960X and I9-7980XE processors. To the guy who asked, no, none of my very high binned cpu's are for sale. I believe that this concludes an interesting thread. Thank you all for your kind words and input.

Thanks mate This outstanding cpu was sold to me ( with 30 minutes of operation only ) from the outstanding gentleman and personal friend @aerotracks 5.9ghz was extremely easy with 1.53V only, without temps even turning positive on any core. I think 6ghz is within reach with around 1.60-1.61V. Will revisit soon Best regards

It is not a shame, it is not a lie. Suzuki and myself are GOOD FRIENDS. Having said that, we have privately discussed, with evidence on hand, how much money and HW we have lost HERE, from unresponsible ( very light way to put it ) sellers. And yes, we were naive to trust them. NO MORE. -

I will second that But the fact is that a ton of bad sellers exists. And they have the nerve to demand $$$ upfront thru Bank Transfer or PayPal " Friends and Family ONLY ". Of course, if there are naive buyers to pay them this way, then so be it. -
Help wanted: fixing a Rampage Extreme
Fasttrack replied to TaPaKaH's topic in General hardware discussion
Sam, Of course I have no idea or solution to provide. The reason I am posting is that I have an Asus Apex VI ( X299 ) - retired for 3 months now - that behaves exactly the same. Lights turn on, other times it boots, other times it boots and shuts down in 5-10 minutes, and other times it does not even start. Tested with 10 different PSU's. Took it to a local electronics lab ( best there is locally ). The guy who owns the lab went nuts for 3 days. Result - NO CLUE. So, I decided ( as Michael did ) to hang it to my wife's Christmas cactus, to remind me that we pay an arm and a leg for HW, that may decide on their own WHEN AND HOW to function. Merry Christmas to all -
Depends on the wife AND how a MAN handles his wife.

Heyo brother Receiving tomorrow my brand new Apex X and an Asus Rampage VI Extreme Edition. Will use my immaculate Apex VI for Kaby-X. Logical or not, I FINALLY want to bench these little suckers under my super strong SS. To be followed by a superb I7-8700K and an I9-9900K ( 5.2 on water ) that I still have in their boxes ( both courtesy of my good friend @aerotracks ). Might also check out my Apex IX if it is better with coffee. But, as you very well know me bro, I am a stubborn MULE - lol, lol, lol. I HAVE TO BENCH the little suckers first. Why ? Just because... And the X299 OCF certainly did not help My very best to you Thanks brother.

Probably yes, but on the other hand, how can you explain that same cpu's installed on Asus Apex VI perform flawlessly - 7740x - 6ghz 7640X - 6.2ghz Enter Turbo Vcore application, adjust Vcore only, adjust speed respectively - apply and bench. Finish, reboot and all over again and again and again for hours ( way of speaking ). No issue at all - NONE. So, I can't really see - EOL or not - how Kabylake-X works like a charm on one brand of boards and fails another. TBH, I do not have the time or the mood or the extended knowledge to pin down the issue ( if any ). I prefer to sell ( even with a loss ) and move on

First upfront Thank you all for all the effort to help me. I sincerely feel extremely obliged. Tried also bios 1.18. Same. So, I think I am done. Board is getting off the benchtable, will be cleaned thoroughly and back to its box. Most probably it will be sold on eBay. What a huge shame. I am 110% sure that it is an isolated case - the board is magnificent - mem handling superb, BUT this multiplier issue is a big problem. AGAIN, thank you all for spending precious time for me. You guys rock
